## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get **Moldova public procurement tenders** from the official MTender platform (mtender.gov.md) as clean JSON: **what is being bought, who is buying, estimated value, CPV category, and every bidder (winners and losers) with their IDNO.** The Actor calls MTender's public OCDS API directly, so there is no browser and no blocking: runs are fast and the data is as fresh as the portal.

### What does Moldova Public Procurement Tenders Scraper do?

It fetches tenders published in a date window from the MTender OCDS API and returns one record per tender, with flat summary fields for quick use plus the full official OCDS release for deeper analysis. Each record includes the contracting authority (with IDNO), the CPV category, the award decisions and all companies that took part in the tender.

### What data can you extract?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `tenderId` | Unique tender identifier (OCID) |
| `title`, `description` | What is being procured |
| `status`, `statusDetails` | Tender status |
| `value`, `currency` | Estimated or contract value |
| `cpvCode`, `cpvDescription` | Procurement category (CPV classification) |
| `buyerName`, `buyerIdno`, `buyerRegion`, `buyerLocality` | The contracting authority |
| `awards` | Array of `{supplierName, supplierIdno, awardStatus, awardValue, currency, awardDate}`: one entry per bidder who received an award decision |
| `suppliers` | All companies that participated (name and IDNO), winners and losers |
| `publishedDate` | When the tender was published |
| `raw` | The full official OCDS release, unmodified |

### How to scrape Moldova public tenders

1. Click **Try for free** and set **Days back** (or a specific **Since date**) and **Max tenders to fetch**.
2. Press **Start**. Each run returns the tenders published in that window, up to your limit.
3. Open the **Output** tab and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Who is this for?

- **Sales and business development teams** bidding for government contracts: track new opportunities and see who you compete against.
- **Competitive and market intelligence:** which companies win contracts in your industry, and how often.
- **Credit risk and due diligence:** cross-reference a company's IDNO with its [financial statements](https://apify.com/treasury_thoughts/depozitar-actor) to assess counterparties.
- **Procurement transparency and research:** follow spending by a specific buyer or category.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `daysBack` | Fetch tenders published in the last N days |
| `sinceDate` | Alternatively, an exact start date (ISO format), useful for a one-off historical pull |
| `maxItems` | Maximum number of tenders to fetch. You are charged per tender, so this is also your spending cap |

Daily monitoring:

```json
{
  "daysBack": 1,
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

One-off historical pull:

```json
{
  "sinceDate": "2026-09-01T00:00:00.000Z",
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Output example

One record per tender (abridged, illustrative values):

```json
{
  "tenderId": "ocds-b3wdp1-MD-0000000000000",
  "title": "Procurement of office supplies",
  "status": "active",
  "value": 150000,
  "currency": "MDL",
  "cpvCode": "30190000-7",
  "buyerName": "Example Public Institution",
  "buyerIdno": "1000000000000",
  "awards": [
    {
      "supplierName": "EXAMPLE SRL",
      "supplierIdno": "1000000000001",
      "awardStatus": "active",
      "awardValue": 148500,
      "currency": "MDL"
    }
  ],
  "publishedDate": "2026-10-09T08:00:00Z"
}
```

### Why use this Actor instead of the portal or the raw API?

| | MTender website | Raw OCDS API | This Actor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bidders with IDNO per tender | Tender by tender | Nested inside each release | `suppliers` and `awards` arrays |
| Bulk export | Manual | You write and maintain the parser | CSV, JSON, Excel in one click |
| Date window | Manual search | You build the paging | `daysBack` or `sinceDate` |
| Monitoring new tenders | Manual checks | You build the sync | Schedule a daily run |
| Full official record | Per page | Yes | Included in `raw` |

### How much does it cost to scrape Moldova tenders?

You pay per tender record saved to the dataset; the current price is shown on the **Pricing** tab. Set `maxItems` to cap what a run can cost, and use a small value for your first test. You are not charged for records you do not receive.

### Integrations and API access

Run it from the Apify API, schedule it, or connect the results to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n through the Apify integrations.

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("treasury_thoughts/mtender-actor").call(run_input={"daysBack": 1, "maxItems": 50})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["title"], item["buyerName"], item["value"])
```

### FAQ

#### How fresh is the data?

The Actor reads MTender's public OCDS API, which publishes procurement data in near real time. Schedule a daily run with `daysBack: 1` for monitoring.

#### Does it include losing bidders?

Yes. `suppliers` lists every company that participated, and `awards` lists the companies that received an award decision.

#### Why are some award fields empty?

Not every tender reaches an award during the fetch window. If a tender is still open, award fields stay empty.

#### Can a tender have several awards?

Yes. A tender can have several award decisions (one per lot), and `awards` lists them all.

#### Can I filter by CPV code or buyer?

The Actor fetches by date window. Filter the dataset after the run by `cpvCode`, `buyerIdno` or any other field.

#### Something looks wrong or you need another field?

Open an issue from the Actor's **Issues** tab and describe the case.
