## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Trends Scraper (reliable)

Get Google Trends data for any keyword as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. No Google account and no API key needed.

### What you get for each keyword

- **Interest over time**: date, period and a 0-100 value for every point in the range
- **Related queries**: top and rising searches
- Country, language, category and any time range Google supports

### How to use

1. Add your keywords.
2. Pick a country code (for example `US`, `GB`, `DE`) or leave it empty for worldwide.
3. Pick a time range: `now 7-d`, `today 1-m`, `today 12-m`, `today 5-y`, `all`, or `2024-01-01 2024-06-30`.
4. Run it and download the dataset.

### Input example

```json
{ "keywords": ["bitcoin", "ethereum"], "geo": "US", "timeRange": "today 12-m" }
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "keyword": "bitcoin",
  "geo": "US",
  "timeRange": "today 12-m",
  "interestOverTime": [{ "date": "Oct 19, 2025", "period": "Oct 19 – 25, 2025", "value": 31, "hasData": true }],
  "relatedQueriesTop": [{ "query": "bitcoin price", "value": "100" }],
  "relatedQueriesRising": [{ "query": "example query", "value": "Breakout" }]
}
```

### Why this Actor

- It retries when Google answers "too many requests", so runs finish instead of failing.
- A keyword that fails gives a row with an `error` field. The other keywords still finish.
- Small and fast: it calls Google's own data endpoints, no browser.

### Notes

- Google Trends values are relative (0-100), not real search counts.
- Each keyword is queried alone, so values are not comparable between keywords.
- Use for public data only. You are responsible for how you use the data.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Search terms. One result row per keyword.

## `geo` (type: `string`):

Two-letter code like US, GB, DE. Empty means worldwide.

## `timeRange` (type: `string`):

Google Trends range, for example 'now 7-d', 'today 1-m', 'today 12-m', 'today 5-y', 'all', or 'YYYY-MM-DD YYYY-MM-DD'.

## `includeRelatedQueries` (type: `boolean`):

Also return top and rising related queries.

## `category` (type: `integer`):

Google Trends category. 0 means all.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language code for Google, for example en-US.

## `useApifyProxy` (type: `boolean`):

Turn on if Google blocks the run. Needs a paid proxy plan for the best results.
