## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Find top TikTok ads in the **UK, US, Germany and Brazil**. Export ad creatives, video links, reported likes, relative CTR rankings and spend categories as JSON or CSV. No TikTok login or proxy configuration is required.

This first version exports **up to 20 ads per market from each daily collection**. Use it to find creative examples, compare ad messaging and build recurring market reports. The collection summary includes TikTok's reported total and the exported sample size.

### Export TikTok Creative Center top ads

```json
{ "country": "GB", "maxRows": 20 }
```

The default returns ten UK ad observations. Choose `GB` for the UK seven-day selection, or `US`, `DE` and `BR` for the US, Germany and Brazil thirty-day selections. These are the combinations currently supported. The source sorts the selections by its impressions criterion; raw impressions are unavailable.

Rows include exact string `material_id`, ad title, source ad link, optional brand name, industry and objective keys, reported likes, video metadata and available cover/playable links. `video_id` is the source's opaque video identifier, separate from the numeric ad material ID. Media files are not downloaded. URLs can expire or disappear, and missing fields remain `null`.

### TikTok ad CTR rankings and spend categories

`ctr_top_percent` is a **relative Top-% ranking**, matching the source's display. For example, 22 means **Top 22%**, not a 22% click-through rate. `ctr_rank_fraction` preserves the source value used to produce that label.

`spend_category` preserves the source's **0/1/2 category**, not an amount of money. This Actor does not return raw CTR, impressions, click counts, spend, conversions or revenue. Industry and objective keys are source labels rather than verified advertiser classifications.

### TikTok ad history: stored daily collections

```json
{ "country": "US", "mode": "history", "days": 7, "maxRows": 140 }
```

History returns the samples actually archived, ordered by UTC collection date and position. Use `fromDate` and `toDate` instead of `days` for a fixed range of up to thirty calendar days. Missing dates are listed in `OUTPUT`. An ad appearing on three collection dates produces three billable observations. The first archived observation of a market on a collection date is retained.

**The API does not supply a reporting date.** `collection_date` and `collected_at` describe our collection, while `source_reporting_date` stays `null`. A seven-day or thirty-day selection is the source's requested window, not the age of each ad or a guarantee that its counters cover that window.

### Which TikTok ads are covered, and how often?

These selections come from TikTok Creative Center's Top Ads collection, rather than every ad running on TikTok. Country identifies the requested ad market, not an advertiser's nationality. This version samples the first page of twenty ads per market; it does not export every ad represented by the source's reported total. Lists can overlap across markets.

The maintained archive is scheduled for daily collection. Customer runs read stored exports and do not trigger another TikTok request. Check the collection timestamps to assess freshness. Archived history begins when collection was actually performed; no earlier history is generated.

Individual ad detail and country/window engagement endpoints were verified separately. Per-ad landing-page enrichment, comments, shares and requested-window engagement are **not included in this first version**. No advertiser summaries or missing metrics are invented.

### TikTok ads scraper pricing and spending limits

**$3 per 1,000 delivered ad observations**, plus **$0.00005 per run start**. Apify platform usage is included. Ten results cost $0.03005; twenty cost $0.06005. Coverage summaries are not billable observations.

Set `maxRows` and Apify's maximum run cost to control spending. `OUTPUT` reports delivered rows and whether the spending limit stopped the export. Empty history returns coverage and incurs only the start event. Export the default dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel or another Apify format.

### TikTok ads API and scheduled exports

Use Apify's API, save a task, or schedule exports in Apify Console. You need an Apify account and token for API calls; you do not need TikTok credentials. The Actor contains a dedicated archive credential and never receives the central TikTok session.

Report problems through the Actor's Issues tab with the run ID, market and collection dates. Keep tokens and personal credentials out of reports.
