Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikDN Full Film Downloader

This Actor downloads complete films from `https://netshort.tikdn.vip`, the operator-controlled TikDN service. It accepts TikDN film/watch URLs or numeric film IDs, stores every MP4 episode and available VTT subtitle in the run's Key-Value Store, and writes a JSON manifest plus one dataset result per film.

Configure the custom Apify pay-per-event event `film-processed` at **$1.00 per successful full film**. Charging happens only after every episode and the manifest have been stored. Partial or failed films are cleaned up and not charged.

The source host is fixed in code. Inputs cannot inject a different media host or private upstream token. Each run can accept up to 1,000 unique films by default; use multiple runs for a larger catalog. Apify Key-Value Store and outbound transfer charges still apply, so users should set a run maximum cost and suitable storage retention.

There is no practical infinite single run: use batches and the Apify per-run maximum cost. With `$1` per film, a run capped at `$100` can process at most 100 successful films before Apify stops further charging. Users can start more runs for a larger catalog.

In Apify Console, open **Publishing → Monetization**, choose **Pay per event**, add the event name `film-processed`, set its price to `$1.00`, make it the primary event, and remove the default dataset-item event if you want exactly one charge per film. Set the minimum maximum run charge to cover at least one film.

Run locally with `npm install && npm start`. Deploy with Apify CLI after logging in locally: `npx apify-cli login` then `npx apify-cli push`.

# Actor input Schema

## `films` (type: `array`):

TikDN film/watch URLs or numeric IDs. Billing is charged once after every episode of a film is stored successfully.

## `downloadSubtitles` (type: `boolean`):

Save every subtitle track returned by TikDN next to each MP4 episode.

## `maxEpisodeBytes` (type: `integer`):

Safety limit for one MP4 episode. Episodes larger than this fail the film and are not charged.
