## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 pins

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Pinterest Scraper – Pins from Search, Boards, Profiles and Pin URLs

Turn Pinterest into clean, structured data. Search by keyword, or paste board, profile and pin links, and get every pin with its title and description, the full-resolution original image, the video file for video pins, the outbound link and its domain, save count, comment count, hashtags, created date, the pinner (username, name, follower count), the board it sits on, and the dominant color of the image. Results page through automatically, far past the first screen of pins.

### What people use it for

- **Trend and content research** – see which pins on a topic collect the most saves, and when they were posted.
- **Competitor and brand monitoring** – export a brand's boards or profile and track saves and comments over time.
- **Influencer discovery** – find active pinners in a niche with their follower counts.
- **Traffic source analysis** – see which websites and domains get pinned for a keyword, and how often.
- **Design and product inspiration datasets** – bulk original images, colors and visual tags for moodboards or machine learning.
- **Video content planning** – collect video pins with direct MP4 and HLS links, durations and thumbnails.

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **search keywords** (for example `kitchen ideas`, `fall outfits`, `pasta recipe`).
2. Or paste **Pinterest URLs**: search pages, boards (`pinterest.com/user/board/`), profiles (`pinterest.com/user/`, `/_created/` or `/_saved/`), single pins (`pinterest.com/pin/123/`) or `pin.it` short links. Mix them freely in one run.
3. Set **Max pins per source**. The scraper follows Pinterest's pagination until it has that many pins or the feed ends.
4. Choose **All pins** or **Video pins only** for keyword searches.
5. Keep **Include engagement details** on for saves, comment counts, hashtags, video files and outbound links on every pin. Turn it off for a faster, lighter run.
6. Run, then download JSON, CSV or Excel, or read the dataset through the API.

### Pricing

One price per pin:

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 pins |
|---|---|
| Free | $2.00 |
| Starter | $1.75 |
| Scale | $1.30 |
| Business and Enterprise | $1.00 |

About half of what the most used Pinterest scraper charges per result. Inputs that fail or return nothing are free. A small fee applies to each run start. Set a maximum cost per run and the scraper stops cleanly at that limit.

### FAQ

**Why is `link` empty on some pins?** Many pins are uploaded straight to Pinterest and have no outbound website. `domain` is filled whenever there is one.

**Why are `hashtags` often empty?** Most pinners do not use hashtags. The list merges Pinterest's hashtag field with tags written in the description. `annotations` holds Pinterest's own visual topic labels for every pin.

**How many pins can I get per search?** Pinterest keeps serving new pages for popular keywords; set the limit you need (up to 5,000 per source). Duplicates are removed within each source.

**Does it need a Pinterest account or cookies?** No. It reads what Pinterest shows to any visitor who is not logged in. Private boards and secret pins are not available.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly visible information. You are responsible for how you use the data, including Pinterest's terms, copyright in images, and data protection law.

## `maxPinsPerSource` (type: `integer`):

Maximum pins to collect for each keyword or URL. Results are paginated automatically.

## `searchType` (type: `string`):

For keyword searches: all pins, or only video pins.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open every pin for saves, comment count, hashtags, video files and the outbound link. Turn off for faster, lighter runs (saves only where the list shows them).
