## Pricing

from $0.50 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Wellfound Jobs Scraper – Startup Jobs with Salary, Equity and Company Stage

Turn Wellfound (formerly AngelList Talent) job searches into clean, structured rows. Pick roles such as `software-engineer` or `product-manager`, add cities or countries, or ask for remote jobs, and get every matching startup job with its title, salary range and equity split into numbers, locations and remote policy, job type, years of experience, posted date, the full job description in Markdown and the apply link. Each job carries its company: name, logo, one-line pitch, headcount band, stage (early, growth, scale, public), funding signals (top investors, Y Combinator, $500M+ or $1B+ valuation) and Glassdoor rating when shown.

### What people use it for

- **Recruiting and sourcing** – find startups hiring for a role in a city and reach them first.
- **Salary and equity benchmarks** – compare startup pay bands and equity ranges by role, city and company stage.
- **Job boards and newsletters** – feed fresh startup jobs into your site, Slack channel or weekly digest.
- **Sales prospecting** – startups that are hiring fast are buying tools; the company size and stage fields help you qualify them.
- **Market research** – track which roles, stages and cities are hiring over time with scheduled runs.

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **roles** (for example `software-engineer`, `product-manager`, `data-scientist`, `designer`). Plain names such as "Software Engineer" work too.
2. Add **locations** (`new-york`, `san-francisco`, `london`, `berlin`, `united-states`) to combine with each role, or tick **Remote jobs**.
3. Or paste Wellfound search page URLs (`/role/...`, `/role/l/<role>/<city>`, `/role/r/<role>`, `/location/<city>`, `/remote`).
4. Optionally narrow the results with keywords, job types, company stages, a minimum salary or a posted-within window.
5. Tick **Add job page details** to also get the company website, industry, city/region/country with coordinates and the structured salary.
6. Run, then download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read the dataset through the API.

An unknown role or city is reported as a free error row, not silently replaced with other jobs.

### Pricing

One price per job in the dataset:

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 jobs |
|---|---|
| Free | $1.00 |
| Starter | $0.84 |
| Scale | $0.67 |
| Business and Enterprise | $0.50 |

A lower price per job than the other Wellfound scrapers on the Store. Searches that fail or find nothing are free. A small fee applies to each run start. Set a maximum cost per run and the scraper stops cleanly at that limit.

### FAQ

**How many jobs can one search return?** Each results page lists 20 startups with their matching jobs (usually 40–50 jobs). Raise *Max pages per search* and *Max jobs per search* for more; duplicates are removed within a run.

**Is there free-text search?** Wellfound only offers keyword search to signed-in users, so keywords are applied to the title, company and description of the jobs found for your roles and places.

**Why is salary empty for some jobs?** A few companies do not publish a range. Everything the listing shows is returned.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly visible job listings. You are responsible for how you use the data, including Wellfound's terms and data protection law.
