## Pricing

from $0.01 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## TCG Card Price API — Cardmarket and TCGplayer

![TCG Card Price API](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/mfgPT9SfqXfyzcyXL/records/banner.png)

Get the price of any trading card on both Cardmarket (Europe, EUR) and TCGplayer (United States, USD) in one call: every printing of the card, its TCGplayer market price, recent sales and 30-day trend, the matching Cardmarket trend and averages, and the price gap between the two markets. Covers Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and 12 more games. No API key required.

***

### Why this API?

#### 🌍 Two markets, one answer

TCGplayer and Cardmarket are the reference prices for the US and Europe. Each result carries both, side by side, for the same printing.

#### 🎯 The right printing, not just the right name

A Charizard ex exists in dozens of printings worth anywhere from one euro to hundreds. Each result is one specific printing (set, collector number, rarity), and the Cardmarket product is matched to that printing, not to the name.

#### 🔎 Honest matching

Every result says how its Cardmarket product was matched and how sure the match is. When two Cardmarket products could be the same printing, the result lists both with their prices instead of picking one. A wrong pairing never produces a price gap.

#### 🧾 Real sales, not only asking prices

The five most recent TCGplayer sales (date, condition, price, shipping) and the 30-day Near Mint market-price trend with units sold come with each printing.

#### 💶 Price gap included

The Cardmarket premium over TCGplayer is worked out at the day's ECB exchange rate, for every printing where both prices are trustworthy.

#### ⚡ Built for apps and agents

Call it over HTTP and get JSON back in seconds, or run it as a normal actor. Same fields, same price.

***

### Call this actor over HTTP

Besides normal runs, this actor exposes a REST API that answers each request in seconds with JSON. There is no run to start and no dataset to fetch afterwards, which suits apps, automations and AI agents that need one answer at a time. The full interactive reference is on the **Endpoints** tab.

| Endpoint | Returns | Billed as |
|---|---|---|
| `GET /price?game=…&card=…` | Every matching printing with prices from both markets (up to 25) | Per printing |

Authenticate with your Apify API token in the `Authorization` header:

```bash
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>" \
  "https://unfenced-group--tcg-card-price-api.apify.actor/price?game=pokemon&card=Charizard%20ex&set=Obsidian%20Flames"
```

Every response has the shape `{ "count": N, "items": [...] }`, with the same fields as the dataset records below, billed at the same price as a normal run. Errors and cards that match nothing return no data and are never billed. POST with a JSON body works the same as GET.

#### How the Cardmarket match works

| `matchMethod` | Confidence | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| `exact-id` | exact | Magic: both product ids are published together by Scryfall. |
| `card-code` | high | The printed card code (e.g. `OP06-118`) matches. |
| `name-text` | high | Pokémon: same name, same attacks and abilities, same set. |
| `name-set` | high | Same name and same set, with only one product on Cardmarket. |
| `version-order` | medium | Several printings of the card in one set (e.g. regular, full art, special illustration), paired in collector-number order. |
| `ambiguous` | ambiguous | More than one Cardmarket product fits. They are listed in `cardmarketCandidates` and no price gap is given. |
| `none` | none | No Cardmarket product found for this printing. |

### Examples

**Every printing of a card in one set:**

```json
{ "game": "pokemon", "card": "Charizard ex", "set": "Obsidian Flames", "maxResults": 10 }
```

**One exact printing by collector number:**

```json
{ "game": "pokemon", "card": "Umbreon VMAX", "number": "215/203", "maxResults": 1 }
```

**A One Piece card by code, without sales history:**

```json
{ "game": "onepiece", "card": "Roronoa Zoro", "number": "OP06-118", "includeSales": false }
```

**Magic: compare all printings of a staple:**

```json
{ "game": "magic", "card": "Lightning Bolt", "maxResults": 25 }
```

***

### 💰 Pricing

**$0.004 per card printing** — you only pay for printings returned. Errors and lookups that find nothing are never charged. One request for one card usually returns 1 to 5 printings.

| Usage | Cost |
|---|---|
| one printing | ~$0.00 |
| a typical card lookup | ~$0.02 |
| 100 printings | ~$0.40 |
| 1,000 printings | ~$4.00 |

Subscription tiers lower the rate further, down to $0.003 per card printing at the highest tier. A run start costs $0.00005 and each dataset item $0.00001; HTTP requests are billed per card printing only.

***

### Performance

| Request | Typical time |
|---|---|
| One card over HTTP | 2–5 seconds |
| One card as a normal run | 10–15 seconds (includes start-up) |

***

### Known limitations

- Cardmarket publishes one product per printing but no collector numbers, so printings that share a name in one set are matched in collector-number order (`version-order`). When the counts on both sites differ, the result is marked `ambiguous` and lists every candidate rather than guessing.
- Cardmarket's price guide covers a card in every language and condition it is offered in; TCGplayer's market price is mostly English copies. Treat the premium as indicative, especially for vintage and non-English-heavy games.
- No price gap is given for cards under €0.50 on either side, or where one price is below a tenth of the other.
- TCGplayer-only products (for example Japanese Pokémon) and Cardmarket-only games are not covered.
- Cardmarket prices are daily; TCGplayer prices are live.

***

### Technical details

- **Sources:** tcgplayer.com (US marketplace) and cardmarket.com (European marketplace, daily price guide); Scryfall for Magic id pairs; ECB reference rate for USD → EUR.
- **Coverage:** 17 trading card games, every printing listed on TCGplayer.
- **Retry:** automatic retry on network errors with exponential backoff.
