## Pricing

Pay per event

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Unstop Scraper: Jobs, Internships, Hackathons & Competitions

Scrape **[Unstop](https://unstop.com)** (formerly Dare2Compete), India's largest platform for jobs, internships, hackathons, competitions, quizzes, scholarships, workshops and conferences.

Get every listing as clean, structured data: **salary, skills, prizes, deadlines, locations, eligibility, team size, views and registrations**. Download it as JSON, CSV or Excel, or connect it to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own app through the Apify API.

**Highlights:**

- ✅ **All 8 Unstop sections** in one Actor: jobs, internships, hackathons, competitions, quizzes, scholarships, workshops and conferences
- ✅ **Monitoring mode**: run it on a schedule and get *only new* listings each time. Ideal for alerts and job boards.
- ✅ **Fast and reliable**: uses Unstop's public data API, with no browser and no login
- ✅ **Clean, normalized output**: salary as numbers, ISO dates, skill lists and prize totals
- ✅ **Cheapest Unstop scraper on Apify**: $2 per 1,000 results

### What can you do with it?

- 🧑‍💼 **Recruiters & HR-tech:** track fresh hiring demand, salaries and in-demand skills across Indian companies.
- 📣 **Job & internship alert channels:** auto-post new openings to Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord or a website every day.
- 🏆 **Hackathon & competition aggregators:** collect every open hackathon with prize pools, deadlines and team sizes.
- 🎓 **Colleges & placement cells:** share relevant opportunities with students automatically.
- 📊 **Market research:** analyse which skills, roles, cities and salary ranges are trending.
- 🤖 **AI agents:** give your agent a reliable tool to answer "find me open data-science internships in Bangalore".

### How to use

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Pick the **Opportunity types** you want (e.g. Jobs + Internships).
3. Optionally add a **Search keyword** (e.g. `python`, `marketing`, `AI hackathon`) and **Locations** (e.g. `Bangalore`, `remote`).
4. Click **Start**. Results appear in a few seconds. Download them as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.

#### Get only new listings every day (monitoring)

1. Turn on **Only new since last run** and give the monitor a name (e.g. `python-jobs`).
2. Create a **Schedule** in Apify Console (e.g. every day at 9:00).
3. Each run returns only opportunities you haven't received before. Connect an integration (Slack, Google Sheets, email or a webhook) to get them automatically.

### Input

| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `opportunityTypes` | Any of `jobs`, `internships`, `hackathons`, `competitions`, `quizzes`, `scholarships`, `workshops`, `conferences` | `["jobs"]` |
| `searchTerm` | Keyword, same as Unstop's search box | empty (all) |
| `onlyOpen` | Only opportunities accepting applications now | `true` |
| `locations` | Filter by city/state/country; add `remote` for online/WFH | empty (all) |
| `maxItemsPerType` | Max results per selected type (up to 10,000) | `100` |
| `includeDescription` | Add the full description as plain text | `false` |
| `onlyNewSinceLastRun` | Monitoring mode: return only unseen listings | `false` |
| `monitorName` | Separate name per monitor | `default` |

  "opportunityTypes": ["jobs", "internships"],
  "searchTerm": "data analyst",
  "locations": ["Bangalore", "remote"],
  "maxItemsPerType": 200
}
```
### Pricing
**Pay per result: $2.00 per 1,000 opportunities**, plus a tiny per-run start fee. No monthly rental.
- 100 jobs ≈ $0.20
- 1,000 hackathons, jobs and internships ≈ $2.00
- A daily monitor returning ~30 new listings ≈ $1.80/month
Apify's free plan includes monthly credits, so you can try it at no cost. You can also set a **maximum cost per run** in the run options. The Actor stops cleanly when that limit is reached.
### FAQ
**Is scraping Unstop legal?**
This Actor collects only publicly available listing data about organizations and opportunities, through the public endpoint that Unstop's robots.txt allows. It does not log in and does not collect personal data. Please use the data responsibly and in line with Unstop's terms and applicable laws.
**Why do I get fewer results than Unstop shows?**
With `onlyOpen` on (the default), expired listings are skipped. Turn it off to include past opportunities too. Unstop's search returns at most 10,000 results per query.
**Can I use it with AI agents or via API?**
Yes. Call it through the Apify API, the Apify MCP server, or integrations such as Zapier, Make and n8n.
**Something doesn't work or you need a field?**
Open an issue on the **Issues** tab and it will be fixed quickly.
# Actor input Schema
## `opportunityTypes` (type: `array`):
Which Unstop sections to scrape. Each selected type is scraped separately, up to the 'Max results per type' limit.
## `searchTerm` (type: `string`):
Optional keyword, exactly like Unstop's search box, e.g. 'python', 'data analyst', 'marketing', 'AI hackathon'. Leave empty for everything.
## `onlyOpen` (type: `boolean`):
Return only opportunities that are currently accepting applications/registrations.
## `locations` (type: `array`):
Optional filter by city, state or country (e.g. 'Bangalore', 'Maharashtra', 'India'). Add 'remote' to include work-from-home and online opportunities. Leave empty for all locations.
## `maxItemsPerType` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of results to save for each selected opportunity type. Unstop's search returns at most 10,000 results per query.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Add the full job/event description as clean text (makes each result larger).
## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):
Monitoring mode: return only opportunities this Actor has not returned before in your account. Ideal for scheduled daily runs that feed job alerts, Slack, Google Sheets or a database.
## `monitorName` (type: `string`):
Use a different name for each separate monitor (e.g. 'python-jobs', 'hackathons'), so they track 'already seen' results independently.
