## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Monitor: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday & SmartRecruiters + New Job Alerts

Get **every open job straight from company career pages**, normalized into one format, and get alerts for **new jobs since your last run**.

Give it any of:

- a company's careers page: `https://www.notion.so/careers`
- a job board URL: `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, `careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`
- a shorthand: `greenhouse:airbnb`, `lever:palantir`, `ashby:ramp`
- or **just a company name**: `stripe`. It finds the board for you.

Data comes from the employers' own official job board feeds, so it's fresh, complete and doesn't break when a site redesigns.

### What you get

`company`, `title`, `department`, `team`, `location`, `allLocations`, `workplaceType`, `remote`, `employmentType`, `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryInterval`, `salarySource`, `postedAt`, `updatedAt`, `url`, `applyUrl`, optional full `description`, plus change tracking: `changeType` (`NEW` / `CHANGED` / `REMOVED` / `UNCHANGED`) and a before→after `changes` list.

**Salary ranges** come from the ATS when the employer publishes them (Ashby, Lever) or are read from the posting text (`salarySource: "description"`).

### Filters

Title keywords, excluded title keywords, location keywords and remote-only, so you only pay for jobs you want.

### Use it for alerts

1. Run with your companies and filters. This is the baseline.
2. Switch **Output** to *Only changes since last run*.
3. Schedule it daily. Each run returns only new, changed and closed jobs.
4. Send them to Slack, email, Sheets, Airtable, Zapier, Make, or your ATS/CRM.

### Who uses it

- **Job seekers** watching dream companies for new roles
- **Recruiters and sales teams** spotting companies that are hiring (a buying signal)
- **Job boards and newsletters** sourcing fresh postings
- **Market researchers** tracking hiring trends, salary bands and remote share
- **AI agents** answering "who is hiring for X?"

### Pricing (pay per event)

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job returned | $1.50 per 1,000 |
| Job checked with no change (*changes* mode only) | $0.20 per 1,000 |
| Run start | $0.001 |

Watching 20 companies (about 3,000 jobs) daily costs about **$0.60/day** plus $1.50 per 1,000 new or changed jobs.

### Example

```json
{
  "changeType": "NEW", "ats": "ashby", "company": "ramp",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud", "department": "Engineering",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)", "remote": true, "workplaceType": "Hybrid",
  "salaryMin": 211400, "salaryMax": 290600, "salaryCurrency": "USD", "salaryInterval": "year",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753+00:00",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245"
}
```

### Notes

- Supported now: Greenhouse (US and EU), Lever (US and EU), Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters. Bare company names are matched on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby; for Workday and SmartRecruiters pass the careers URL. Tell us which ATS you need next on the Issues tab.
- Workday lists relative dates ("Posted 3 Days Ago"); `postedAt` is converted to a date and the original is kept in `postedText`. Turn on descriptions to get full locations and employment type from Workday.
- A company that fails to load is never reported as "all jobs closed". Its history is kept.
- Only job postings are collected. No candidate or employee personal data.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Any of: a company careers page URL (https://www.airbnb.com/careers), a job board URL (boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, jobs.lever.co/palantir, jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite, careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup), a shorthand like greenhouse:airbnb, or just a company name (we try Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby).

## `outputMode` (type: `string`):

'all' returns every matching job with its change status. 'changes' returns only jobs that are new, changed or removed since the last run with the same companies and filters (the first run returns the full baseline). Schedule it daily for new-job alerts.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words (case-insensitive). Empty = all.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. 'intern', 'senior'.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these, e.g. 'New York', 'Remote', 'Germany'. Empty = all.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs per company (before filters). Large Workday employers can list thousands.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the job description as plain text (larger output).

## `resetState` (type: `boolean`):

Forget the previous run and start a new baseline.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
    "greenhouse:airbnb",
    "lever:palantir"
  ],
  "outputMode": "all",
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 5000,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "resetState": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Every open job (or only changes, in changes mode) with company, ATS, title, department, location, remote flag, salary when published, URLs and dates, plus changeType.

## `allFields` (type: `string`):

The same records with every field.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Counts of new, changed, removed and unchanged records, output count, and per-source errors.
