## Pricing

from $1.19 / 1,000 file generateds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## QR Code Generator (PNG and SVG)

Turn text or a URL into a crisp QR code as PNG or SVG, with size and error-correction control.

### What it does

Turn text or a URL into a crisp QR code as PNG or SVG, with size and error-correction control. It runs in seconds, needs no login and no API key of your own, and can process up to 1000 items in one run (batch mode).

Examples:

- PNG, 256 px: `{"text": "https://utils.voiddo.com", "format": "png", "size": 256}`
- Wi-Fi join code as SVG: `{"text": "WIFI:T:WPA;S:cafe;P:secret;;", "format": "svg"}`

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `text` | string | yes | Text or URL to encode |
| `format` | select | no | File format of the result. Allowed: png, svg. |
| `size` | integer | no | Edge length in px (png) |
| `margin` | integer | no | Quiet zone in modules |
| `error_correction` | select | no | How much damage the code survives: L (7 percent), M (15), Q (25) or H (30). Allowed: L, M, Q, H. |
| `fg` | string | no | Color of the dark modules as a hex value such as #000000. |
| `bg` | string | no | Background color as a hex value such as #ffffff. |
| `items` | array | no | Optional. A list of input objects with the same fields as above; every object is processed in its own right and the top-level fields act as shared defaults. Leave empty to process the single input above (up to 1000 items per run). |

Example input:

```json
{
  "text": "https://utils.voiddo.com",
  "format": "png",
  "size": 256
}
```

### Output

Each processed item adds one row to the dataset with `file_url` (a link to the generated file in the run's key-value store), `filename`, `mime`, `bytes`, `credits` and `ms`. The file itself is stored under the key shown in `file_key`. A failed item adds a row with `error` and `status` instead; the run fails only when every item failed.

### Limits

- Up to 10 seconds per item.
- Input size up to 4,096 bytes per item.
- URLs must be public http(s) addresses; private and local addresses are refused, robots.txt is respected where pages are fetched.
- No logins, no captcha solving, no personal-data lookups.
- Each run sends one short usage record to the developer: the Actor and run IDs, the number of results, whether the run succeeded (and if not, the kind of error, such as "blocked" or "input problem") and whether the account is on a paid Apify plan. It contains nothing from your input or results.

### Pricing

You pay per successfully processed item (the current price is on the Pricing tab). A failed item is not charged.

### Other ways to use it

The same engine is also available as an API at https://data.voiddo.com and as free browser tools at https://utils.voiddo.com.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "text": "https://utils.voiddo.com",
    "format": "png",
    "size": 256
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("v0iddo/mint-qr-code-generator").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
