## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Personio Jobs Scraper do?

**Personio** is the HR software of choice for small and mid-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland: tens of thousands of employers in the German *Mittelstand*, from solar installers to insurance start-ups, publish their jobs on a Personio career page. This Actor reads those pages directly, live, and returns **one clean row per job**.

- title, department, team, all locations, city, country and ISO country code
- **salary range** (min, max, currency, period)
- **workplace type**: remote, hybrid or on-site
- employment type, seniority, publish date, language, job URL and apply URL
- the full job description as plain text

No proxies and no browser: the Actor uses the public job feed of Personio, so runs are fast, cheap and reliable.

### Why use this Personio scraper?

- **Live, not a database snapshot**: jobs come straight from Personio at run time. No delay, no expired postings.
- **Your own company list**: paste as many companies as you like, one run returns all their jobs in one table.
- **Clean, filterable data**: salaries as numbers, remote/hybrid/on-site, ISO country codes and seniority, ready for a spreadsheet, a job board or a CRM.
- **New and closed jobs**: with *Only new jobs since the last run*, a daily schedule delivers just the new jobs and flags jobs that were closed. You only pay for new jobs.
- **Hiring signals for sales**: the summary shows open jobs, top departments, countries, remote share and salary share per company. A company that hires is a company that buys.
- **Built for DACH recruiting and sales**: German salary formats, Werkstudent, Ausbildung and Praktikum are recognized as employment types.
- **Country for every job**: Personio offices are free text ("Riederich", "HQ"). When almost all jobs of a company are in one country, jobs in smaller towns get that country too, so the country filter works.

### How to scrape Personio jobs

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Paste Personio company names or career page URLs into **Companies**, one per line.
3. Optional: set filters, e.g. title contains `sales`, location `DE`, workplace `remote`, only jobs with salary.
4. Click **Start**.
5. Open the **Jobs** table, or download everything as JSON, CSV or Excel.

**Where do I find the company name?** Open the company's job page. If the address looks like `https://1komma5grad.jobs.personio.de/`, the company name is `1komma5grad`. Paste either the name or the whole URL.

Only have the company website, not the Personio address? Use **Career Page Jobs Scraper** by the same author: it finds the job board behind any company domain automatically and supports Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Personio and Recruitee.

To monitor companies, enable **Only new jobs since the last run** and create a **Schedule** (e.g. daily). Connect it to Slack, Google Sheets or your CRM via **Integrations**.

### How much does it cost?

This Actor uses **pay per event**: a fixed price **per job delivered after your filters**, and **platform usage is included**. The current price is shown in the **Pricing** tab. Unknown companies, empty job boards, closed-job rows and errors are free. With monitoring you pay only for new jobs. Set a **maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops exactly at that limit.

### Input

See the **Input** tab for all options.

```json
{
    "companies": ["1komma5grad", "tado", "https://clark.jobs.personio.de"],
    "titleKeywords": ["sales", "engineer*"],
    "locations": ["DE", "AT", "CH"],
    "workplace": ["remote", "hybrid"],
    "postedWithinDays": 30,
    "onlyWithSalary": false,
    "onlyNewSinceLastRun": false,
    "includeDescription": true
}
```

**Title keywords** match whole words: `java` finds "Java Developer", but not "JavaScript Developer". Add `*` for word starts: `engineer*` also finds "Engineering Manager".

### Output

You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

```json
{
    "recordType": "job",
    "companyInput": "1komma5grad",
    "atsBoardUrl": "https://1komma5grad.jobs.personio.de",
    "id": "personio:1komma5grad:2415353",
    "ats": "personio",
    "company": "Example GmbH",
    "title": "Senior Sales Manager (m/w/d)",
    "department": "Sales",
    "locations": ["Berlin", "Hamburg"],
    "country": "Germany",
    "countryCode": "DE",
    "workplace": "hybrid",
    "employmentType": "full-time",
    "seniority": "senior",
    "salary": { "min": 65000, "max": 80000, "currency": "EUR", "period": "year", "source": "ats" },
    "publishedAt": "2026-10-01T08:40:52.000Z",
    "jobUrl": "https://1komma5grad.jobs.personio.de/…",
    "language": "de",
    "descriptionText": "About us ...",
    "isNew": null
}
```

The **Hiring summary** (key-value store record `SUMMARY`) lists per company: open jobs, matching jobs, new and closed jobs, top departments, top countries, remote share and salary share.

### FAQ

#### How is the salary detected?

Personio has a structured salary field. Many German postings also name the salary in the text ("55.000 € bis 75.000 € brutto"), which the Actor finds too. Salaries from the text have `source: "text"`. Ranges that are clearly not salaries, like revenue or headcount, are ignored.

#### How is remote work detected?

Personio has no remote field. The Actor detects remote and hybrid jobs from the title, the office name ("Remote", "Home-Office") and the description.

#### Does it work with personio.com and personio.de career pages?

Yes. Both addresses show the same job board, and the Actor treats them as one company, so you are never charged twice.

#### Is scraping Personio job pages legal?

The Actor only reads public job postings that companies publish to attract applicants, through the public job feed of Personio. Job postings contain no personal data apart from occasional recruiter names in the description.

#### Something does not work

Please open an issue in the **Issues** tab with the company and the run ID. You can also start the Actor programmatically from the **API** tab.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line: the Personio company name (the part before .jobs.personio.de, e.g. "1komma5grad"), a Personio career page URL (https://tado.jobs.personio.com) or the URL of a single Personio job.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these words, e.g. "data", "sales", "werkstudent". Whole words: "java" does not match "JavaScript". Add \* for word starts: "engineer\*" also matches "Engineering". Empty = all jobs.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. "intern", "praktikum".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs in any of these places. Use a country code (DE, US), a country (Germany) or a city (Berlin). Empty = worldwide.

## `workplace` (type: `array`):

Keep only remote, hybrid or on-site jobs. Jobs where the ATS gives no workplace type are dropped when this filter is set.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose department or team contains one of these words, e.g. "engineering", "sales".

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs published in the last N days. 0 = any date. Jobs without a publish date are dropped when this is set.

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs with a salary range (from the ATS or found in the job description).

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers which jobs it has seen for this company list and these filters. The first run returns all jobs, every later run only new ones, so you pay only for new jobs. Perfect for a daily schedule.

## `reportClosedJobs` (type: `boolean`):

With "Only new jobs" enabled: also add a free row for every job that disappeared since the last run (recordType "closed-job").

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Name for the saved state, e.g. "sales-leads-dach". Leave empty to derive it from the company list and filters. Use the same name in several tasks to share one state.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full job description as plain text. Turn off for smaller, faster results.

## `mergeDuplicates` (type: `boolean`):

Many companies post one role once per city. Merge them into one row with all locations (duplicateIds lists the merged job IDs).

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs per company. 0 = no limit.
