## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## OFAC Sanctions Screener: names + crypto wallets

Screen a list of people, companies or crypto wallet addresses against the **U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN and Consolidated sanctions lists** and get one clear answer per input: **CLEAR**, **REVIEW** or **HIT**, with the matching list entries and the date of the list we checked.

### Who it's for

- **Fintech and payments teams** running KYC/KYB onboarding or payout checks
- **Importers, exporters and freight forwarders** screening counterparties
- **Crypto apps** checking deposit and withdrawal addresses
- **AI agents** that need a sanctions check mid-workflow (works through the Apify MCP server)

### What you get per input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `verdict` | `CLEAR` (no match), `REVIEW` (partial or alias match, have a human look), `HIT` (strong match) |
| `matches` | The OFAC entries that matched, with names, aliases and programs |
| `matchCount` | How many entries matched |
| `listsChecked` | Which OFAC lists were checked (SDN, Consolidated, Digital Currency Address) |
| `listAsOf` | Date of the OFAC data used, for your audit trail |
| `checkedAt` | When the screen ran |

Names use deterministic normalized-name and token matching across ~40,000 names and aliases. Wallets are an **exact match** against the Digital Currency Address identifiers OFAC publishes in the SDN file (no chain analytics or risk scores).

### Pricing

Pay per result, no subscription:

- **$0.005 per name screened** ($5 per 1,000)
- **$0.002 per wallet screened** ($2 per 1,000)

**Failed screens are free.** If something goes wrong upstream, you get a row with an `error` and are not charged. Set a max cost per run and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Example input

```json
{
  "names": ["Example Trading Co", "Banco Nacional de Cuba"],
  "wallets": ["0x098B716B8Aaf21512996dC57EB0615e2383E2f96"]
}
```

### Example output (real run, 18 Oct 2026)

A name hit and a wallet hit from the input above. `Example Trading Co` came back `CLEAR` with no matches.

### Use it from an AI agent

Add this Actor as a tool through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) and call it with `names` or `wallets`. Agents can pay per call.

### Important

This is a screening aid, not legal advice or a compliance clearance. A `REVIEW` or `HIT` needs human review against the full OFAC record. `CLEAR` means no match was found on the list version shown in `listAsOf`.

Built by **Ni Biashara LLC** (Texas). The same checks are available pay-per-call to agents over x402 at [agents.nibiashara.biz](https://agents.nibiashara.biz).

# Actor input Schema

## `names` (type: `array`):

People or company names. One row (and one charge) per unique name.

## `wallets` (type: `array`):

Blockchain addresses (BTC, ETH, TRX, XMR, USDT and others) exact-matched against OFAC Digital Currency Address identifiers.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Safety cap on how many inputs this run screens.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many screens run at once (1-8).

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "names": [
    "Example Trading Co",
    "Banco Nacional de Cuba"
  ],
  "maxItems": 1000,
  "concurrency": 4
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

All screened rows in the default dataset (overview view).
