## Pricing

Pay per event

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Federal Contract Expiration Radar

Most federal work is won before the solicitation drops. This Actor shows you which US federal contracts in your market **end soon**, who holds them today, and how much they are worth, so you can start positioning 6 to 12 months ahead of the recompete.

It uses the official public federal award data published by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. No web scraping. No login. No API key.

### What can it do?

- Find contracts whose current end date falls in a window you choose, for example the next 12 months
- Filter by NAICS code, PSC code, keyword, awarding agency, state and minimum value
- Sort by ending soonest or largest value
- Return a clean table with incumbent, agency, value, dates, codes and a link to the official award record

### Who is it for?

- Small and mid-size contractors planning their pipeline
- Business development and capture teams hunting recompetes
- Teaming and subcontracting partners looking for primes with expiring work

### How much does it cost?

You pay per expiring contract returned, plus a tiny start fee per run. See the Pricing tab. A search that returns 100 contracts costs about 30 cents.

### Input example

```json
{
  "naicsCodes": ["561720"],
  "states": ["TX"],
  "expiringWithinDays": 365,
  "expiringAfterDays": 60,
  "minAwardAmount": 250000,
  "sortBy": "largest"
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "awardId": "W9124J23P0012",
  "description": "ROUTINE CUSTODIAL SERVICES",
  "awardingAgency": "Department of Defense",
  "awardingSubAgency": "Department of the Army",
  "contractType": "PURCHASE ORDER",
  "naicsCode": "561720",
  "pscCode": "S201",
  "awardAmount": 380552.02,
  "startDate": "2023-10-30",
  "currentEndDate": "2026-10-29",
  "daysUntilEnd": 3,
  "placeOfPerformanceState": "TX",
  "incumbent": "EXAMPLE CLEANING INC",
  "incumbentNote": null,
  "awardUrl": "(link to the official award record)"
}
```

(Values above are illustrative.) Export as JSON, CSV or Excel, or send results anywhere with Apify integrations and schedules.

### Tips

- Start broad with one NAICS code, then narrow with state or agency.
- Use **Ending no sooner than days** to skip contracts that end too soon to chase.
- Schedule it monthly to keep your recompete pipeline fresh.
- Option periods can extend a contract. Treat the end date as the current planned end, then confirm with the contracting office.

### Privacy and data notes

- We only return incumbents that look like business entities. When a recipient name looks like a private individual, the name is withheld.
- Email addresses and phone numbers are removed from descriptions.
- Some recipient names in older records may come from Dun & Bradstreet, which supplied this data to the government. Do not use this Actor to build or resell a bulk company database.
- The data is U.S. government information. This Actor is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?** As fresh as the public federal award data, which agencies update regularly. Recent actions can lag by a few weeks.

**Why do I need at least one filter?** Federal award data is huge. A filter keeps results useful and runs fast.

**Something broke?** Open an issue on the Issues tab with your input.
