## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Company Intelligence — Multi-Registry Company Fan-Out

> Official keyless European registry sources, no API keys, no scraping.

One input — a company name or registration number — fanned out across **multiple official European registries** in a single run. Returns one normalized record per company per country.

### Why EU Company Intelligence?

- 🏛️ **Official sources only** — data comes straight from national registries (YTJ/PRH, JAR, SIRENE) plus GLEIF for cross-border LEI coverage.
- 🔀 **One query, many registries** — no need to learn four different registry portals.
- 📐 **Normalized schema** — the same fields regardless of country: registration number, name, legal form, status, address, registration date, source URL.
- 💪 **Resilient by design** — a failing source is logged and skipped; it never crashes the run.

### Sources

| Code | Registry | What you get |
|------|----------|--------------|
| `FI` | Finland YTJ/PRH open data v3 | Finnish company registry records (name or Y-tunnus lookup) |
| `LT` | Lithuania JAR (Registru Centras, via get.data.gov.lt) | Lithuanian legal entities (ja\_kodas or name) |
| `FR` | France SIRENE | French companies (INSEE open API; matches name, SIREN/SIRET) |
| `GLEIF` | GLEIF LEI records (global) | Any LEI-holding entity worldwide; filtered by entity country |

Sources are verified live keyless endpoints (checked 2026-09-25). Denmark CVR is intentionally skipped — the official open-data API requires a token and third-party mirrors are quota-limited.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|-------|------|-------------|
| `query` | string (required) | Company name (e.g. `nokia`, `Airbus`) or registration number: FI Y-tunnus (`0194099-3`), LT ja\_kodas (`307225020`), FR SIREN (`356000000`), or a 20-character LEI (`529900T8BM49AURSDO55`). Numbers are detected by format per source. |
| `countries` | array | Optional filter, e.g. `["FI","LT","FR"]` (GLEIF rows are additionally filtered by entity country). Empty = all sources run. |
| `maxResults` | integer | Cap per source (default 20, max 100). Name searches can match many companies. |

### Output (dataset)

One item per company per country source:

```
country, source, registrationNumber, name, legalForm, status,
address, registrationDate, sourceUrl, lei (GLEIF rows),
fetchedAt
```

### Pricing

- **$0.05** per run start
- **$1.25 / 1,000 results** (per normalized company record delivered)

Failed or empty sources are never charged — only delivered records are billed.

### Automation ready

Batch thousands of names/numbers or slot this into a nightly enrichment pipeline: point it at your CRM, deduplicate by `registrationNumber`, and keep your registry data fresh automatically.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Company name (e.g. 'nokia', 'Airbus') or registration number: Finnish Y-tunnus (0194099-3), Lithuanian ja\_kodas (307225020), French SIREN (356000000), or a 20-character LEI. Numbers are detected by format per source.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Optional filter, e.g. \["FI","LT","FR"]. Source codes: FI, LT, FR, GLEIF (EU-wide; GLEIF results are additionally filtered by the entity's country). Empty = all sources run.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Cap per source (default 20, max 100). Name searches can match many companies; results beyond this cap are skipped.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "query": "Nokia",
  "maxResults": 5
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Dataset of normalized company records. Fields: country, source, registrationNumber, name, legalForm, status, address, registrationDate, sourceUrl, fetchedAt, lei (when available).

## `resultsJson` (type: `string`):

Full dataset items as raw JSON.

## `runStats` (type: `string`):

Key-value store entry OUTPUT\_STATS: records delivered per source, total count.

## `runView` (type: `string`):

Inspect this run, its logs and storages in Apify Console.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "query": "Nokia",
    "maxResults": 5
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("vhsgreed/eu-company-intelligence").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
