## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Lithuania Company Registry (JAR) — Lithuanian Company Data API

> Independent tool, not affiliated with Registrų centras.

Extract **official Lithuanian company registry data from Juridinių asmenų registras (JAR)** via the get.data.gov.lt open-data gateway. Fetch companies by code or exact registry name. Get legal form, status, registration dates, share capital and registered address — with optional balance sheet and P\&L financials. Official open data, no scraping, no API key.

### Why JAR Registry API?

- ✅ **Verify Lithuanian counterparties** — legal form and status straight from the national register.
- 💰 **Financials opt-in** — latest submitted balance sheet and P\&L per company when you enable `fetchFinancials`.
- 🏛️ **Bilingual legal forms & status** — both Lithuanian and English values included.
- 📋 **Compliance-ready output** — flat, one-record-per-company JSON for KYC automation.

### Use cases

KYC/counterparty verification in Lithuania · financial screening (opt-in) · supplier and debtor checks · market research by legal form

### What data you get?

| 🏷️ Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| 🆔 jaKodas | Lithuanian company code |
| 🏢 name | Company name |
| 🏛️ legalForm / legalFormEn / legalFormCode | Legal form (LT + EN + code) |
| ✅ status / statusEn / statusCode | Status (LT + EN + code) |
| 📅 registrationDate / deregistrationDate / statuteDate | Key dates |
| 📍 address / postalCode / municipality | Registered address |
| 💼 capitalAmount / capitalCurrency / capitalSince | Share capital |
| 💰 financials | Latest balance sheet + P\&L (opt-in) |

### How to use

1. Add the actor to your Apify account and click **Run**.
2. Enter a `companyNumbers` list (e.g. `307225020`) or an exact `query` name.
3. Enable `fetchFinancials` if you want balance sheet and P\&L data.
4. Set `maxResults` to cap the run (default 100, max 1000).
5. Export results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input

```json
{
  "companyNumbers": ["307225020"],
  "fetchFinancials": true
}
```

| Field | Type | Description | Default |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `companyNumbers` | array | Direct list of company codes (ja\_kodas, e.g. `307225020`) | — |
| `query` | string | Exact full registry name, case-sensitive, including legal-form prefix — e.g. `MB "Midiforce"` | — |
| `fetchAddress` | boolean | Resolve the registered address | on |
| `fetchFinancials` | boolean | Fetch the latest submitted balance sheet and P\&L per company | off |
| `maxResults` | integer | Cap on companies returned | 100 (max 1000) |

### Output

```json
{
  "jaKodas": 307225020,
  "name": "MB \"Midiforce\"",
  "legalForm": "Mažoji bendrija",
  "legalFormEn": "Small partnership",
  "status": "Teisiškai galioja",
  "registrationDate": "2023-05-04",
  "address": "Example g. 5, Vilnius",
  "capitalAmount": 1000,
  "capitalCurrency": "EUR"
}
```

Financials appear only when `fetchFinancials` is enabled and the company has submitted statements.
