## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Nordic Counterparty Compliance Check

> Independent tool; registry, VIES and sanctions data from official public sources. Not affiliated with any of them.

Run a **risk snapshot on any Nordic company from official keyless sources** — one call gives you the registry record (SE/NO/DK/FI), EU VIES VAT validity, and OpenSanctions bulk-dump screening. Built for onboarding checks: verify the counterparty exists, is VAT-registered, and isn't on a sanctions list. No API keys, no scraping of gated services.

### Why Nordic Counterparty Check?

- ✅ **Three checks in one run** — registry identity, VAT validity, sanctions screening.
- 🏛️ **Official sources** — national registries, the EC's VIES service, OpenSanctions bulk data.
- 🌍 **All four Nordic countries** — SE, NO, DK, FI with one input format.
- 🤖 **Automation-ready** — flat JSON verdict you can gate your onboarding flow on.

### Use cases

Vendor/customer onboarding · AML and sanctions pre-screening · invoicing and VAT checks · periodic re-screening of existing counterparties

### What data you get?

| 🏷️ Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| 🏢 registry | Registry record for the company (SE/NO/DK/FI source) |
| ✅ vat | VIES VAT validity verdict |
| 🚨 sanctions | OpenSanctions screening result |
| 📝 summary | Combined risk snapshot |

Exact output fields depend on which checks succeed for the given company — run the actor once on a sample to confirm the latest output shape.

### How to use

1. Add the actor to your Apify account and click **Run**.
2. Enter `country` (SE/NO/DK/FI) and `registryNumber` — or fall back to `name`.
3. Optionally supply `vatNumber` for a direct VAT check.
4. Export results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input

```json
{
  "country": "SE",
  "registryNumber": "556188-8404"
}
```

| Field | Type | Description | Default |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `country` | enum | Registry country: `SE`, `NO`, `DK`, `FI` | — |
| `registryNumber` | string | SE: 10-digit orgnr. NO: 9-digit orgnr. DK: 8-digit CVR. FI: business ID | — |
| `name` | string | Fallback when no registryNumber: registry name search, best match only | — |
| `vatNumber` | string | Optional full EU VAT number (e.g. `SE556188840401`); otherwise attempted via registry data | — |

### Output

```json
{
  "registry": {
    "name": "Example Företag AB",
    "orgnr": "556188-8404",
    "status": "Aktivt",
    "legalForm": "Aktiebolag"
  },
  "vat": {
    "valid": true,
    "name": "Example Företag AB"
  },
  "sanctions": {
    "matches": []
  }
}
```

Screening is based on OpenSanctions bulk dumps — it covers listed entities and close name variants, not bespoke risk scoring.

Registry country of the company.

## `registryNumber` (type: `string`):
