## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## PrestaShop Technical Audit

A fast **technical health check for PrestaShop stores**. For each domain it confirms that the store runs PrestaShop, detects the **version and its end-of-support status**, and checks **HTTPS/SSL, http→https and www redirects, server response time (TTFB), sitemap, robots.txt, title / meta description / H1, JSON-LD Product and BreadcrumbList validity, mixed content and page weight**. Each store gets a **score from 0 to 100** and a list of **issues with a short fix** for each one.

Non-PrestaShop domains are reported as `not_prestashop` (with the detected platform) and are **not charged**.

> **Outputs only technical, non-personal website data. Users are responsible for lawful use.**
> No e-mails, phone numbers, names, company names, VAT numbers, addresses or social profiles are extracted. Page texts (title, description, H1) are measured, never copied into the output.

### Checks and scoring

| Check | Severity (points) |
|---|---|
| Homepage not HTTP 200 | high (30) |
| HTTPS missing / certificate invalid or expired | high (25) |
| PrestaShop version end of life (1.6 and older, 1.7) | high (20) |
| TTFB > 3 s / > 1.5 s | high (20) / medium (10) |
| No http→https redirect | high (15) |
| SSL expiring in < 15 days | medium (10) |
| Mixed content (http resources on https page) | medium (8) |
| Title missing · Product structured data missing | medium (8) |
| Meta description missing · no H1 · HTML > 3 MB | medium (6) |
| www and non-www both serve the site · broken JSON-LD | medium (5) |
| PrestaShop 8.x (security fixes only) · no sitemap | low (5) |
| robots.txt missing · no gzip/brotli · no Breadcrumb data · HTML > 1.5 MB | low (3) |
| Title/meta length out of range · multiple H1 · no canonical · no HSTS · temporary redirect · microdata only | low (2) |

Score = 100 − sum of points (minimum 0). Version support status follows the official PrestaShop release cycle (1.6 end of life since June 2019; 1.7 maintenance ended with 9.0.0; 8.x security-only until 10.0.0; 9.x supported). When the exact version is not public, the Actor reports the family (`1.6`, `1.7+`) and `supportStatus: unknown`.

The dataset has two views: **Audit overview** (one row per store) and **Issues and advice** (one row per problem).

### Use cases

- **PrestaShop agencies and freelancers**: qualify prospects and prepare a technical pre-audit in seconds.
- **Store owners**: monthly health check of your own shop (schedule the Actor).
- **Hosting / maintenance providers**: find stores on end-of-life versions that need an upgrade.
- **Module developers**: check the technical baseline of stores before support or onboarding.

### Responsible crawling

- Identifies itself as `ShopTechAuditBot/1.0` with a link to this page.
- Obeys **robots.txt** on every request; maximum **1 request per second per domain**; short timeouts.
- About 6–10 requests per store (homepage, robots.txt, http and www variants, sitemap, `/docs/CHANGELOG.txt`, one category and one product page).
- Public pages only, no login, no forms.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.02 per audited PrestaShop store** (= $20 per 1,000 stores). Non-PrestaShop, unreachable, bot-protected, invalid and robots-disallowed domains are **free**.

### FAQ

**Does it replace a full SEO crawl?** No: it audits the homepage plus one product page – the fastest way to spot the big technical problems across many stores.
**Why `supportStatus: unknown`?** Most stores hide the exact version; the family is still reported.
**Can it collect contacts?** No, by design.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Domains or URLs of the stores to audit (one per line). Sites that are not PrestaShop are reported as such and not charged.

## `checkProductPage` (type: `boolean`):

Opens one product page (found from the homepage or the first category) to validate Product and BreadcrumbList structured data. Adds 1-2 requests per store.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many different stores are audited in parallel. Each single store is always limited to 1 request per second.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Timeout for each HTTP request.
