## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Privacy Page Generator

Write a short privacy page for your own website. You get the same page as HTML, Markdown and plain text, in English or Dutch.

General information only. This is not legal advice.

The page repeats the choices you make in the form. It does not look at your website, and it does not decide whether those choices are enough.

### What you get

- An HTML page, a Markdown page and a plain text page.
- The title "Privacy notice" in English, or "Privacyverklaring" in Dutch.
- Headings: Who we are, What we collect and why, How long we keep it, Who we share it with, Your rights, Questions and complaints. The Dutch page uses: Wie wij zijn, Wat wij verzamelen en waarom, Hoe lang wij het bewaren, Met wie wij het delen, Uw rechten, Vragen en klachten.
- The date line "Last updated:" or "Laatst bijgewerkt:", and the contact line "For questions or to use your rights, contact:" or "Voor vragen of om uw rechten te gebruiken:".
- The name and website of the data protection authority for the Netherlands, Belgium or Ireland. In English the Dutch authority is named "the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)".

The dataset row has the language, the country and the options. It does not contain the organisation name, the contact or the page text.

### Tutorial

1. Type the organisation or brand name.
2. Paste the public website URL, such as `https://example.com/`.
3. Set the page date as `YYYY-MM-DD`.
4. Add a contact page URL or a business role mailbox, such as `privacy@example.com`. Do not enter a private personal email address.
5. Choose the country, the language, what to say about visitor statistics, cookies and a contact form. Leave the retention fields empty to use "13 months" and "2 years" in English, or "13 maanden" and "2 jaar" in Dutch. The Dutch page says "Wij bewaren ... gedurende ...".
6. Start the run. Open the key-value store for `PRIVACY_HTML`, `PRIVACY_MD` and `PRIVACY_TXT`. The dataset has one row with the options.

You still publish the page on your own site.

### Pricing

You pay a small fee when the run starts, plus a fee when a page is saved. A run that does not produce a page is free.

| Event | Price |
| --- | --- |
| Run start | $0.00005 |
| Page generated | $0.25 |

### What is not collected

The dataset and the log do not contain the organisation name, the contact or the page text. The log names the website domain and the language. The page files contain the name, the website and the contact, because that is the page you asked for. Do not enter a private personal email address. Use a contact page or a business role mailbox.

### Next additions

- More countries and their data protection authorities.
- More page languages.
- A few more options in the form for common website setups.
