## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 places

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Maps Scraper: Places, Phones, Websites & Hours (Fast)

**Scrape Google Maps places from any search ("coffee shops in Austin TX") or any categories × locations ("dentist" × "Miami, FL"):
name, categories, rating, review count, full address split into street / city / postal code / country, phone (local and E.164),
website, opening hours for every weekday, coordinates, time zone, place ID and Maps link.** No browser, so runs are fast and cheap.
**From $2 per 1,000 places** (Starter plan), with phone, website and hours included in that price.

### Why this one

| | This Actor | Typical Maps scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| Price | One price per place, from **$0.002**, phone + website + hours included | $0.003/place + $0.002 details + $0.002 contacts |
| More than 120 per search | **Deep search** splits the area into a map grid and removes duplicates: hundreds to thousands of places per city. Places outside your area are dropped and **never billed** | Stops at Google's ~120, or bills out-of-area results |
| Emails & socials | From each business's own website + contact page: emails, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok — **billed only when found** | Separate actor or flat fee |
| Switching | Accepts compass/crawler-google-places input (`searchStringsArray`, `locationQuery`, `maxCrawledPlacesPerSearch`, `placeMinimumStars`, `website`, `scrapeContacts`, Maps `startUrls`) | — |
| Speed | Google's own JSON pages, 20 places per request, no browser | Browser page loads and scrolling |
| Lead lists | Categories × locations in one run (up to 200 searches), duplicates removed across the run | One search per run |
| Filters | Min rating, min reviews, with/without website, phone required, category words — skipped places are free | Paid filter add-ons |
| Reliability | Direct first, Apify proxy only when Google limits us, automatic retries | Fails on the first block |

### Input examples

One search, 60 places:

```json
{ "searchQueries": ["coffee shops in Austin TX"], "maxPlacesPerSearch": 60 }
```

Lead list: 3 categories × 2 cities, rated 4+:

```json
{ "categories": ["dentist", "orthodontist", "dental clinic"], "locations": ["Miami, FL", "Orlando, FL"], "maxPlacesPerSearch": 120, "minRating": "4" }
```

Every dentist in Miami with an email, rated 4+, deep search:

```json
{ "categories": ["dentist"], "locations": ["Miami, FL"], "maxPlacesPerSearch": 1000, "deepSearch": true, "includeContacts": true, "minRating": "4" }
```

Businesses WITHOUT a website (web-design leads):

```json
{ "categories": ["plumber", "electrician"], "locations": ["Denver, CO"], "maxPlacesPerSearch": 120, "websiteFilter": "withoutWebsite", "requirePhone": true }
```

### Output

One row per place: `name`, `category`, `categories`, `rating`, `reviews`, `address`, `street`, `city`, `postalCode`, `countryCode`,
`phone`, `phoneE164`, `website`, `openingHours` (Monday…Sunday), `latitude`, `longitude`, `timezone`, `placeId`, `cid`, `mapsUrl`,
plus the `searchQuery` it came from. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull it from the API, n8n, Make or Zapier.

### Pricing

| Event | Price (free plan) | When |
|---|---|---|
| Place | $0.0025 | One place row (cheaper on paid plans: $0.002 Starter, down to $0.0013); each place billed once per run |
| Contacts | $0.0025 | Emails/social profiles from the place's website ($0.002 Starter) — only when at least one was found |
| Searches with no results | free | Returned as an `error` row with the reason |

### Good to know

- Public data only: Google Maps listings and the business's own public website. No review texts, no personal profiles.
- Without Deep search, Google Maps shows at most ~120 places per search. Deep search uses OpenStreetMap to find the area's bounds.
- AI agents can call this Actor through Apify's MCP server and agent payments.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

What you'd type in Google Maps, with the place: 'coffee shops in Austin TX', 'dentist near Miami Beach'.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Optional: business types to search in every location below, e.g. 'dentist', 'plumber'.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Optional: cities or areas, e.g. 'Miami, FL'. Every category × location pair is one search.

## `maxPlacesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

1–120 normally (Google's limit per search); up to 5,000 with Deep search.

## `minRating` (type: `string`):

Skip places rated below this (skipped places are free).

## `deepSearch` (type: `boolean`):

Google shows at most ~120 places per search. Deep search splits the area into a map grid, searches each tile and removes duplicates — up to 5,000 places per search. Places outside the area are dropped and never billed. Needs 'X in <area>' queries or categories + locations.

## `includeContacts` (type: `boolean`):

Visit each place's own website (and its contact page) for emails, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok. Billed per place only when something was found.

## `websiteFilter` (type: `string`):

'Without a website' = classic lead list for web agencies.

## `minReviews` (type: `integer`):

Skip places with fewer reviews (free).

## `requirePhone` (type: `boolean`):

Skip places without a phone number (free).

## `categoryFilterWords` (type: `array`):

Keep a place only if one of its categories contains one of these words, e.g. 'restaurant'.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Default: direct first, Apify proxy only when Google limits us.
