## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 articles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google News Scraper: Real URLs, Full Text & Monitoring

**Search Google News by keyword, topic or date range and get every article with its REAL publisher URL (decoded from Google's
redirect link), source, publish date and related coverage — and optionally the full article text with word count, author and image.**
No browser. **From $2 per 1,000 articles** (Starter plan); full text is an add-on billed only when it was extracted.

### Why this one

| | This Actor | Typical Google News scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| Article links | **Real publisher URLs** (decoded) | `news.google.com` redirect links, or decoding as a paid extra |
| Full text | Optional text + word count + author + image, **billed only when extracted** | Headline and snippet only |
| History | `dateFrom`/`dateTo` searches day by day: up to 100 articles **per day** (5,000 per query) | 100 per search, then nothing |
| Monitoring | **Only new articles**: schedule it, each run delivers just what's new | Re-delivers everything |
| Context | Related coverage (other outlets on the same story) on every row | — |
| Price | From $0.002/article, no start fee | $0.004–0.005/article, some + $0.09 per run |

### Input examples

Latest coverage of a brand, real URLs + full text:

```json
{ "queries": ["nvidia"], "timeframe": "1d", "maxArticlesPerQuery": 100, "includeFullText": true }
```

A month of history, day by day:

```json
{ "queries": ["\"electric vehicles\""], "dateFrom": "2026-09-01", "dateTo": "2026-09-30", "maxArticlesPerQuery": 3000 }
```

Daily brand monitor (schedule it):

```json
{ "queries": ["\"Acme Corp\"", "\"Acme\" lawsuit"], "onlyNewArticles": true, "stateKey": "acme-monitor" }
```

Top stories by section in Germany:

```json
{ "topics": ["BUSINESS", "TECHNOLOGY"], "region": "DE:de" }
```

### Output

One row per article: `title`, `url` (real), `urlDecoded`, `source`, `sourceUrl`, `publishedAt`, `related`, `googleUrl`, `articleId`,
`query`, and with full text: `text`, `wordCount`, `author`, `image`.

### Pricing

| Event | Price (free plan) | When |
|---|---|---|
| Article | $0.0025 | One article row ($0.002 Starter, down to $0.0013) |
| Full text | $0.003 | Only when the article text was extracted ($0.0025 Starter) |

### Good to know

- Public Google News feeds and the publishers' public pages. Some publishers block automated reading; those rows come without text (and without the text fee).
- AI agents can call this Actor through Apify's MCP server and agent payments.
