## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Kuaishou Scraper - Search 快手 Videos, Creators & Comments

**Scrape Kuaishou (快手) and export videos, creator profiles and comments to JSON, CSV or Excel.** Search videos by keyword, pull a single video's full details, get a creator's profile, list the videos a creator has posted, or collect a video's comments - all from one Actor. Each result is one clean, flat row with views, likes, shares, saves, comments and creator data.

No login, no cookies, no proxies and no China IP to configure - data is fetched through a fast, managed pipeline. Just pick an operation, add your input and press **Start**.

> **Unofficial notice:** This is an independent tool and is **not** affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Kuaishou, 快手 or Kuaishou Technology. "Kuaishou" and "快手" are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe what the Actor scrapes.

### What is Kuaishou?

Kuaishou (快手) is one of China's largest short-video platforms, with hundreds of millions of daily users and particularly deep reach outside China's tier-1 cities. It is known for down-to-earth creator content, livestream commerce, food, travel, rural life and local-business videos. This scraper gives you programmatic access to Kuaishou's search, videos, creators and comments so you can track trends, discover creators and analyze engagement at scale without a Kuaishou account.

### Operations

Pick one **Operation** and fill in the matching field:

| Operation | Input field | What you get |
|-----------|-------------|--------------|
| **Search videos by keyword** | `keywords` | Videos matching each keyword, with views, likes, shares, saves and creator data. |
| **Video details** | `videoUrls` | The full detail of each video (caption, views, likes, comments, shares, saves, video file). |
| **Video comments** | `videoUrls` | Top-level comments for each video, with likes, reply counts and commenter data. |
| **Creator profile** | `userUrls` | A creator's profile: followers, following, total likes, video count, bio, city, IP region. |
| **Creator's posted videos** | `userUrls` | The videos a creator has posted, newest or most popular first, paginated. |

`videoUrls` accept `kuaishou.com/short-video/...` URLs, **share-style video IDs** (e.g. `3xy6djv5stcd7ba`) or **numeric video IDs**. `userUrls` accept `kuaishou.com/profile/...` URLs, **share-style user IDs** (e.g. `3xn86jkusjre36u`) or **numeric user IDs** - one per line.

### How to use it (step by step)

1. Choose an **Operation**.
2. Fill in the matching input:
   - Search videos -> add one or more **Search keywords** (Chinese, English, brands and emoji all work).
   - Video details / Video comments -> paste **Video URLs / IDs**.
   - Creator profile / Creator's videos -> paste **Creator URLs / IDs**.
3. Set **Maximum results per input** (default 100, or 0 for all available) for the paginated operations.
4. For a creator's videos, optionally choose **Latest first** or **Most popular**.
5. Press **Start**. Export the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or via the API.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|-------|------|-------------|
| `operation` | string | **Required.** `search_videos`, `video_detail`, `video_comments`, `user_profile`, or `user_videos`. |
| `keywords` | array | Search keywords (for `search_videos`). |
| `videoUrls` | array | Video URLs, share-style IDs or numeric IDs (for `video_detail`, `video_comments`). |
| `userUrls` | array | Creator URLs, share-style IDs or numeric IDs (for `user_profile`, `user_videos`). |
| `maxItems` | integer | Max results per keyword / creator / video. `0` = all available. Default `100`. |
| `userVideoSort` | string | `latest` or `hot` (creator's videos only). |

### Output

Every row carries a `record_type` of `video`, `user` or `comment`. Common video fields:

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `photo_id`, `photo_eid`, `video_url` | Numeric video id, share-style id and kuaishou.com URL. |
| `caption`, `hashtags` | Video caption and the hashtags it contains. |
| `view_count`, `like_count`, `comment_count`, `share_count`, `collect_count` | Engagement metrics. |
| `author_id`, `author_eid`, `author_name`, `author_avatar_url`, `author_profile_url`, `author_verified` | Creator data. |
| `cover_url`, `video_play_url`, `duration_seconds`, `width`, `height`, `music_name` | Thumbnail, video file, length, size and soundtrack. |
| `create_time`, `ip_location`, `is_pinned` | Publish time (ISO-8601 UTC), publisher region and whether the creator pinned it. |

Creator (`user`) rows add `followers_count`, `following_count`, `video_count`, `likes_total`, `bio`, `city`, `ip_location`, `constellation` and `profile_url`. Comment (`comment`) rows add `comment_id`, `content`, `like_count`, `reply_count`, `is_hot` and the commenter's `author_id`, `author_name` and `author_area`.

Example video row:

```json
{
  "record_type": "video",
  "operation": "video_detail",
  "input": "3xy6djv5stcd7ba",
  "photo_id": "5226990527104554435",
  "share_count": 449,
  "collect_count": 396,
  "author_name": "…"
}
```

### Common use cases

- **Trend tracking** - watch what is rising on Kuaishou for any keyword.
- **Creator (达人) discovery** - find creators for a niche, then pull their profile and full video history.
- **Competitor and brand monitoring** - track a creator's uploads, engagement and comment sentiment.
- **Market and AI research** - build datasets of Chinese short-video content and comments.

### Notes on reliability

- Cover, avatar and video file URLs are served by Kuaishou's CDN and expire; fetch them promptly.
- View, like and comment counts reflect what Kuaishou returns at scrape time.
- Keyword search returns the videos Kuaishou ranks for that keyword; very deep result sets may end earlier than `maxItems`.
- The publisher region (`ip_location`) is shown on search results and a creator's videos, but not on the single-video detail.
- A creator profile only carries the numeric user id, so `profile_url` is filled when you give the creator as a share-style id or profile URL.
- If a video or creator is private or deleted, that input is skipped and the run continues.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Kuaishou account, cookies or a proxy?** No. Just add your input and press Start.

**Can I use numeric and share-style IDs interchangeably?** Yes - `videoUrls` and `userUrls` accept full URLs, share-style IDs and numeric IDs.

**Can I run several keywords or URLs at once?** Yes - add multiple lines. For search and creator-videos, cross-input duplicate videos are removed automatically.

**Can I try it for free?** Yes. Users on the free Apify plan can fetch up to 10 results in total to try the Actor. Upgrade to a paid Apify plan to run it without that limit.

**What export formats are supported?** JSON, CSV, Excel, XML and HTML, plus the Apify API and integrations such as Google Sheets, Zapier, Make and webhooks.

### Pricing

This Actor is **pay per result**: you are charged for each record it returns (videos, comments and creator profiles), plus standard Apify platform usage. Different record types have different prices; see the **Pricing** tab for current rates. You are never charged for inputs that return nothing.
