## Pricing

from $2.99 / 1,000 classified listings

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## OLX Ukraine Classifieds Scraper

Extracts published classifieds from public OLX.ua search, category, and listing pages. The runner uses bounded browser-compatible HTTP with current card and JSON-LD parsing; it does not use login, private APIs, or CAPTCHA bypasses.

### Input

- `startUrls`: optional HTTPS URLs on `olx.ua` or a public subdomain. If omitted, `query` and `location` build a Ukrainian public search URL.
- `query`, `location`: optional search terms.
- `maxItems`, `timeoutMs`, `maxBytes`: result and request safety limits.
- `maxPages`, `requestDelayMs`, `maxRequestRetries`: bounded pagination and retry controls.
- `fixturePath`: optional checked-in local QA fixture; it never silently replaces a live request.
- `userAgent`, `acceptLanguage`: transparent HTTP preferences.
- `proxyConfiguration`: optional standard Apify Proxy settings. Direct requests are the default; enabled runs reuse one valid session ID, and proxy credentials never enter datasets or summaries.

Each listing record includes the public listing ID, title, description, price/currency, category, location, seller metadata, images, timestamps, attributes, and access metadata. Challenged, failed, or empty responses produce an `olx-diagnostic` record rather than being treated as successful data.

### Local verification

```text
npm ci --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund
npm run check
apify run --purge --input-file .actor/input.json
```

The checked-in input performs a bounded live OLX.ua laptop search; `validate-datasets.js` validates all local dataset rows and checks the `OUTPUT` summary counts.

`maxPages` bounds supplied and source-discovered OLX.ua pages. Only HTTPS pagination links that remain on OLX.ua are followed, records are deduplicated across pages, and redundant raw source payloads are not emitted.

You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel. Public listing rows retain classified-listing fields and provenance, while access failures are emitted as minimal diagnostics.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional HTTPS OLX.ua search, category, or listing pages. A public search URL is built when omitted.

## `query` (type: `string`):

Optional public search keyword.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional city or region search term.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum unique listings to emit.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum supplied and discovered public pagination pages to request.

## `timeoutMs` (type: `integer`):

Maximum time allowed for each public request.

## `maxBytes` (type: `integer`):

Maximum response size accepted for parsing.

## `requestDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Bounded delay before retrying a failed public request.

## `maxRequestRetries` (type: `integer`):

Bounded retries for transient or access-boundary responses.

## `fixturePath` (type: `string`):

Optional checked-in HTML/JSON/TXT fixture path for deterministic local QA; never used as a live fallback.

## `userAgent` (type: `string`):

Optional transparent user-agent string; it is not used to impersonate a browser.

## `acceptLanguage` (type: `string`):

Optional language preference for the public request.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional standard Apify Proxy settings. Direct requests are the default; enabled runs reuse one consistent session and do not bypass access controls.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("w3crawler/olx-ukraine-classifieds-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
