## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Recruitee

Scrape every open job from a company's own career site, straight from the **official public job board APIs** of
**Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Recruitee**. Paste career page URLs or board tokens and get
one clean, unified dataset: title, department, team, locations, remote flag, employment type, **salary range** (when the company publishes one), posting
date, apply link and the full description. No login, no API key, no browser, no HTML guessing.

### Why this one

- **Five ATSs, one schema.** Mix Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Recruitee companies in a single
  run and get the same fields for every job.
- **Reliable.** It reads the same JSON APIs the career pages themselves use, so there is nothing to break when a
  company redesigns its site. Unknown boards are reported with one clear warning and the run carries on.
- **Fresh.** Jobs come live from the company's board at run time, not from a database that is hours or days old.
- **Cheap.** $1.50 per 1,000 jobs, and filters are applied before you are charged.

### What data you get

- Company, ATS name and board token
- Job ID, title, department and team
- Main location, all locations, country, remote flag and workplace type (remote, hybrid, onsite)
- Employment type
- Salary min, max, currency, period (`year`, `month`, `hour`...) and a readable salary summary, when the company
  publishes pay
- Posted date and last-updated date (ISO 8601, when the ATS provides it)
- Job URL and direct apply URL
- Full description as HTML and as clean plain text (optional)

#### Output fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `company` | Company name as given by the ATS (the board token, title-cased, where the ATS has no name field) |
| `companyToken` | The board token used for the request |
| `ats` | `greenhouse`, `lever`, `ashby`, `workable` or `recruitee` |
| `jobId` | The job's ID in that ATS |
| `title`, `department`, `team` | Job title and organisation fields |
| `location`, `locations`, `country` | Main location, every listed location, country (name or ISO code, as the ATS gives it) |
| `isRemote`, `workplaceType` | Remote flag (fully remote or a remote location is listed) and the ATS's workplace type |
| `employmentType` | As published by the ATS, e.g. `Full-time`, `FullTime`, `Permanent` |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod`, `salaryText` | Pay range when published |
| `postedAt`, `updatedAt` | ISO 8601 dates |
| `jobUrl`, `applyUrl` | Public job page and application link |
| `descriptionHtml`, `descriptionText` | Full description (only with `includeDescription`) |
| `scrapedAt` | When the job was collected |

### How to use

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `companies` | One company per line: a job board URL, an `ats:token` pair, a plain token, or a careers page that embeds a board |
| `keywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. `engineer`, `product manager` |
| `locations` | Keep jobs where any location contains one of these, e.g. `London`, `United States`, `Remote` |
| `remoteOnly` | Keep only remote jobs |
| `departments` | Keep jobs whose department or team contains one of these, e.g. `Engineering`, `Sales` |
| `postedAfter` | `2026-10-01` or relative: `24 hours`, `7 days`, `2 weeks`, `1 month` |
| `includeDescription` | Full description as HTML and plain text (default on) |
| `maxItems` | Stop after this many jobs in total (default 50) |
| `maxItemsPerCompany` | Cap per company so one big employer does not fill the whole run (0 = no cap) |

All filters are case-insensitive and are combined with AND (a job must pass every filter you set). Within one
filter, any listed value matches.

#### Accepted company inputs

| ATS | URL formats recognised | `ats:token` form |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/discord`, `...embed/job_board?for=gitlab` | `greenhouse:airbnb` |
| Lever | `jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `jobs.eu.lever.co/<company>` | `lever:spotify` |
| Ashby | `jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp` | `ashby:ramp` |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `<company>.workable.com` | `workable:huggingface` |
| Recruitee | `bunq.recruitee.com` | `recruitee:bunq` |

You can also paste a company's own careers page (for example `https://www.notion.com/careers`). The actor opens it
once and looks for a link to one of the five boards. This works when the page links to the board in its HTML; pages
that only build the job list with JavaScript may not expose it, so paste the board URL instead.

A **plain token** with no ATS (for example `linear`) is tried on all five ATSs and every board that exists is
returned. Use the `ats:token` form when you know the ATS, so a same-named board elsewhere is not picked up.

#### How to find a company's board token

1. Open the company's careers page and click any job.
2. Look at the address bar, or hover over the "Apply" button. The job lives on one of these domains:
   `boards.greenhouse.io/<token>`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<token>`, `jobs.lever.co/<token>`,
   `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<token>`, `apply.workable.com/<token>` or `<token>.recruitee.com`.
3. The `<token>` part is what you need. Pasting the whole URL works too.
4. Greenhouse companies with their own domain (like `careers.airbnb.com/positions/7789554?gh_jid=7789554`) show
   `gh_jid` in job links. Their token is usually the company name: try `greenhouse:<name>`.

Example companies, verified at the time of writing: Greenhouse `airbnb`, `discord`, `gitlab`, `figma`; Lever
`spotify`, `zoox`, `shieldai`; Ashby `openai`, `ramp`, `notion`, `linear`; Workable `huggingface`, `skroutz`;
Recruitee `bunq`, `channable`.

#### Example inputs

```json
{ "companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp"], "maxItems": 200 }
```

```json
{
  "companies": ["greenhouse:gitlab", "ashby:openai", "lever:zoox"],
  "keywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": ["United States", "Remote"],
  "remoteOnly": true,
  "postedAfter": "30 days",
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

```json
{ "companies": ["workable:huggingface", "recruitee:bunq", "https://www.notion.com/careers"], "includeDescription": false, "maxItemsPerCompany": 50 }
```

### Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, charged only for jobs saved to your dataset after your filters. 200 jobs cost about $0.30;
every open job at a 700-job employer costs about $1.05.

### Use cases

- Job boards and aggregators: pull fresh postings from hundreds of employers into one feed
- Recruiting and sales intelligence: see which companies are hiring for which teams, and where
- Salary research from pay-transparency ranges (common on US Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby boards)
- Competitor monitoring: track headcount plans by department and location over time
- Job alerts: run daily with `postedAfter: "1 day"` and send new jobs to Slack, email or a spreadsheet
- AI and RAG: full descriptions in clean plain text for matching, classification and summarisation

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The actor only calls the public, unauthenticated job board APIs that each ATS offers so companies
can show their jobs anywhere. No login, no private data. Job postings are published by the companies themselves.
You are responsible for how you use the data.

**Why is salary empty for some jobs?** Pay is only returned when the company publishes it. Greenhouse ranges come
from the pay-transparency block in the description; Lever, Ashby and Recruitee have their own salary fields.
Workable's public widget does not expose pay.

**Why is `updatedAt` empty?** Lever, Ashby and Workable only publish a posted date.

**Which jobs does `isRemote` include?** Jobs the ATS marks as remote, plus jobs that list a remote location such as
"Remote (US)" next to an office. Check `workplaceType` and `locations` for the detail.

**Why did I get fewer jobs than `maxItems`?** The board has fewer open jobs that pass your filters, or the board
token was not found (you get a warning in the log).

**Does it cover other ATSs (Workday, iCIMS, Taleo...)?** Not yet. This actor focuses on the five ATSs with stable
official public APIs.

**Can I run it on a schedule?** Yes. Use Apify Schedules with `postedAfter` set to your interval to collect new jobs
only, then send them to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or a webhook with Apify integrations.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One company per line. Paste a job board URL (boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, jobs.lever.co/spotify, jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, apply.workable.com/huggingface, bunq.recruitee.com), an 'ats:token' pair (greenhouse:airbnb, lever:spotify, ashby:ramp, workable:huggingface, recruitee:bunq), a plain token (tried on every ATS) or a company careers page that embeds one of these boards.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. 'engineer', 'product manager'. Empty = all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs where any location contains one of these strings (case-insensitive), e.g. 'London', 'United States', 'Remote'. Empty = all locations.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the ATS marks as remote (or whose location says 'Remote').

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose department or team contains one of these strings (case-insensitive), e.g. 'Engineering', 'Sales'.

## `postedAfter` (type: `string`):

Keep only jobs posted on or after this date. ISO date (2026-10-01) or relative ('7 days', '24 hours', '2 weeks'). Jobs without a posted date are kept.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Include the full job description as HTML and plain text. Turn off for smaller, faster results.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total (after filters).

## `maxItemsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Cap the jobs saved from each company board so one large employer does not use up Max jobs. 0 = no cap.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Datacenter proxy works for all supported ATS APIs.
