Search the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and receive clean, deduplicated biodiversity occurrence records with accepted taxonomy, normalized country codes, consistent record fields, and direct source links. GBIF is a global open-data infrastructure used by researchers, conservation teams, environmental consultants, and biodiversity analysts.

GBIF records come from thousands of institutions and vary in naming, casing, locality fields, and taxonomic spelling. This Actor resolves the requested name through GBIF's taxonomic backbone, uses the accepted GBIF taxon key for occurrence search, removes duplicate occurrence keys, and preserves the original verbatim scientific name for auditability.
