## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Reviews Scraper: all countries, official Apple feed

Fetch customer reviews for any iOS app from Apple's official public customer-reviews RSS feed, across one or many App Store storefronts (up to ~150 countries). No login, no API key, no proxies.

### Who it's for

- ASO (App Store Optimization) teams tracking ratings and review themes
- Indie developers reading what users say about their own app and competitors
- Market researchers comparing an app's reception by country

### What you get

One dataset row per review: `appId`, `appName`, `country`, `reviewId`, `title`, `content`, `rating` (1-5), `version`, `authorName`, `date`, `voteSum`, `voteCount`, `reviewUrl`.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `apps` | string list | Slack (618783545) | App Store app ids (e.g. `618783545`) or full apps.apple.com URLs |
| `countries` | string list | `["us"]` | Two-letter storefront codes, or `["all"]` for ~150 storefronts |
| `maxReviewsPerApp` | integer | 500 | Apple's feed returns at most about 500 reviews per storefront |

Example input:

```json
{
  "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slack/id618783545"],
  "countries": ["us", "gb", "de"],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 200
}
```

Example output row:

```json
{
  "appId": "618783545",
  "appName": "Slack",
  "country": "us",
  "reviewId": "1234567890",
  "title": "Great for teams",
  "content": "Easy to use and reliable.",
  "rating": 5,
  "version": "4.38.1",
  "authorName": "example",
  "date": "2026-09-14T10:22:00-07:00",
  "voteSum": 3,
  "voteCount": 4,
  "reviewUrl": "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slack/id618783545"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: $0.0005 per review row returned. The platform start fee is charged once per run.

### FAQ

**Does it need a login or API key?** No. It uses Apple's public RSS customer-reviews feed.

**How many reviews can I get?** Apple's feed caps each storefront at roughly 500 recent reviews. Use more storefronts to collect more.

**Can I scrape app details or keyword rankings?** Use the companion actor `appstore-app-search` (App Store app details and keyword search rank via Apple's iTunes Search API).

### Other actors by wearefluent

- `dockerhub-repo-info`: Docker Hub repository stats and tag lists, no login needed.
- `appstore-app-search` (coming soon): App Store app details and keyword rank.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

One or more apps to scrape. Each item is either a numeric App Store app id (e.g. "618783545") or a full App Store URL (e.g. "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slack/id618783545") — the id is extracted automatically.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter App Store storefront codes (ISO-3166), e.g. \["us", "gb", "de"]. Use the single value \["all"] to scrape every storefront (~150). Each storefront has its own reviews and language.

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of reviews to collect per app across all selected storefronts. Apple's feed caps each storefront at 500 reviews (10 pages × 50).

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

Only keep reviews with a star rating greater than or equal to this value (1–5). Leave empty for no lower bound.

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Only keep reviews with a star rating less than or equal to this value (1–5). Leave empty for no upper bound. Tip: set min and max to 1 to collect only 1-star complaints.

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

Only keep reviews on or after this date (ISO format, e.g. "2024-01-01"). Because the feed is sorted newest-first, paging a storefront stops as soon as older reviews are reached.

## `includeAppInfo` (type: `boolean`):

Look up each app's name, developer and average rating via Apple's lookup endpoint and attach the app name to every review.

  "includeAppInfo": true
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `reviews` (type: `string`):
