## Pricing

from $7.00 / 1,000 tool calls

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Trends MCP Server for AI assistants

Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your own agent what is trending on Google today, which iPhone apps lead the App Store in a country, or where your app ranks for a keyword. This MCP server answers with live data.

It runs on Apify in Standby mode, so you have nothing to install or host. The data comes from the Google Trends "Trending now" feed, Apple's public RSS charts and the iTunes Search and Lookup API. The server does not log in anywhere and returns no personal data or reviews.

### Tools

| Tool | What it returns |
|---|---|
| `get_trending_searches` | The 10 searches trending on Google now in one country, with approximate volume, start time and optional news headlines |
| `get_app_store_top_charts` | Top Free or Top Paid iPhone apps (up to 100) for one country, with rating, rating count, price and last update |
| `search_app_store` | App Store search results for a keyword, ranked as Apple's search API returns them |
| `get_keyword_rank` | Rank of one app for up to 10 keywords (checked to position 200), plus the current #1 for each |
| `get_app_details` | Metadata for up to 10 apps by App Store ID, URL or bundle ID |

Results are compact JSON with empty fields left out. A top 25 chart with details is about 8 KB (roughly 2,400 tokens), ten trending searches about 1 KB.

### Connect

Endpoint (Streamable HTTP):

```
https://webatola--app-store-trends-mcp-server.apify.actor/mcp
```

Send your Apify API token as `Authorization: Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>`. Example for clients that take a JSON config (Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code):

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "app-store-trends": {
      "url": "https://webatola--app-store-trends-mcp-server.apify.actor/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>" }
    }
  }
}
```

Clients that can't send headers, such as Claude custom connectors, can use the Apify MCP server instead. It signs you in with OAuth and loads only these tools:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=webatola/app-store-trends-mcp-server
```

### Example prompts

- "What is trending on Google in Germany right now? Group it by topic."
- "Show the top 20 free apps in the Czech App Store and tell me which ones are new this year."
- "Where does app 963034692 rank in the US for habit tracker, routine planner and streaks?"
- "Compare the top 10 results for 'budget app' in the US and the UK."

### Pricing

Pay per event. Failed calls and invalid input are not charged.

- $0.01 per call of `get_trending_searches`, `get_app_store_top_charts`, `search_app_store` or `get_app_details`
- $0.004 per keyword checked by `get_keyword_rank`
- $0.005 each time the server starts for you (it stays up while you work and stops after 3 idle minutes)

While the server runs, Apify also bills its compute time to your account, as for every Standby Actor. At 256 MB that is about $0.001 per minute. Ten calls in a five-minute sitting cost about $0.11 in total.

### Limits

- Apple allows about 20 searches a minute, so `get_keyword_rank` takes about 3 seconds per keyword.
- Apple's chart feed is slow: the first request for a chart in a country can take 10 to 15 seconds. Repeat requests in the same session come back at once.
- App Store ranks come from Apple's public search API and can differ slightly from what a phone shows.
- Google Trends here means today's trending searches. Interest over time for a keyword is not included.

### Batch runs instead of chat

For scheduled exports to a spreadsheet or database, the same data is available as regular Actors: [Google Trends Trending Now Scraper](https://apify.com/webatola/google-trends-trending-now), [App Store Top Charts Scraper](https://apify.com/webatola/app-store-charts) and [App Store Keyword Rank Tracker](https://apify.com/webatola/app-store-search).

### Is it legal?

The server reads only public data that Google and Apple publish through open feeds and APIs. It does not log in anywhere, does not bypass any protection and does not collect personal data. Check that your use follows Google's and Apple's terms and your local law.
