## Pricing

from $2.10 / 1,000 companies

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## LinkedIn Company Scraper (Public Company Pages)

### What is LinkedIn Company Scraper?

LinkedIn Company Scraper reads public LinkedIn company pages by URL or slug and returns one clean row per company: name, industry, company size, headquarters, founded year, website, specialties, follower count, logo, office locations, similar companies and the company description. It runs without a LinkedIn login and reads only the public company page (the guest view). It does not read people profiles, employee lists or email addresses.

### What data does LinkedIn Company Scraper extract?

| Field | Type | Source on the public page |
|---|---|---|
| `name` | string | Company title |
| `industry` | string | "Industry" in the overview list |
| `companySize` | string | "Company size", e.g. `10,001+ employees` |
| `employeeCount` | number | Employee count in the page's JSON-LD block |
| `headquarters` | string | "Headquarters" |
| `founded` | number | "Founded" (null when LinkedIn does not show it) |
| `websiteUrl` | string | "Website" (LinkedIn redirect unwrapped) |
| `followers` | number | Follower count under the title |
| `specialties` | array | "Specialties", split into a list |
| `locations` | array | Office locations list |
| `similarCompanies` | array | "Similar pages" (name and URL) |
| `description` | string | About text |
| `tagline` | string | Headline under the name, only when it differs from the industry |
| `logoUrl` | string | Company logo |
| `companyType` | string | "Type", e.g. Public Company |
| `slug`, `url`, `linkedinUrl` | string | Company identity |
| `source`, `scrapedAt` | string | Source tag and UTC scrape time |

Fields the page does not show for a company come back as `null` or `[]`. They are never guessed.

**Not verified:** the public page does not show a separate slogan, so `tagline` is usually `null`. `employeeCount` is the number LinkedIn publishes in its page data and is not checked against other sources.

### How to use LinkedIn Company Scraper

1. Open the actor in Apify Console and paste company URLs or slugs into **Companies**, for example `https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft` or `microsoft`.
2. Separate several companies with new lines or `;`. Up to 100 companies per run.
3. Leave **Proxy mode** on `auto`. The run uses direct requests and switches to the Residential proxy only if LinkedIn blocks them.
4. Start the run and download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Set a **max total charge** if you want a cap. The run stops before it exceeds the cap.

### Example input

```json
{
    "companies": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft", "openai", "vercel"],
    "proxyMode": "auto"
}
```

### Example output

One row from a real cloud run (2026-10-23, Apify datacenter, direct, no proxy):

```json
{
    "slug": "microsoft",
    "name": "Microsoft",
    "industry": "Software Development",
    "companySize": "10,001+ employees",
    "employeeCount": 231136,
    "headquarters": "Redmond, Washington",
    "founded": null,
    "websiteUrl": "https://news.microsoft.com/",
    "followers": 29348862,
    "specialties": ["Business Software", "Developer Tools", "Home & Educational Software"],
    "companyType": "Public Company",
    "similarCompanies": [{ "name": "Google", "url": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/google" }]
}
```

Cloud run check: 14 companies in one run (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Meta, OpenAI, Vercel, Stripe, Shopify, Spotify, Netflix, NVIDIA, Cloudflare, GitHub) returned 14 rows and status SUCCEEDED. Field fill in that run: `industry`, `companySize`, `employeeCount`, `followers`, `logoUrl` 14/14; `headquarters` 13/14 (Amazon had none on the page); `founded` 9/14; `websiteUrl` 13/14; `tagline` 0/14.

### Input parameters

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `companies` | array | `["microsoft"]` | Company URLs or slugs. Other input is skipped and reported in the log. |
| `proxyMode` | string | `auto` | `auto`, `never` (direct only) or `always` (Residential from the start). |

### Pricing

Pay per result (pay-per-event). You pay for each company row written to the dataset, plus a small one-time start fee per run.

- Price: **$0.0035 per company** on the Free tier, with volume tiers down to $0.0021 (Gold to Diamond).
- Start fee: $0.00005 per run.
- Public leader for comparison: harvestapi/linkedin-company charges $0.004 per company (checked on the Apify public API, 2026-10-23).
- Measured cost: one 14-company run used $0.001 of platform usage (CLI default 4 GB memory). That is about $0.00007 per company, so the margin is far above 70%. Cost with the 512 MB default was not measured.

### LinkedIn Company Scraper vs. alternatives

This actor needs no LinkedIn login and reads only the public company page. Its price is below the public leader (see Pricing). Other tools were not benchmarked, so no comparison of their results or reliability is made here. Risk: LinkedIn can change the page layout; the run then reports the page as unrecognised instead of guessing.

### Using LinkedIn Company Scraper with AI agents / MCP

The actor is pay-per-event, so AI agents can call it through the Apify MCP server. Pass `companies` as a list of URLs or slugs and read the dataset rows. Each row has a stable `slug` for joins.

### FAQ

**Does it need a LinkedIn login or cookies?** No. It reads the public company page the same way a logged-out visitor does.

**Does it return people, employees or emails?** No. Only company pages are read. Employee names and profile links are not returned.

**Why is `tagline` empty?** The public page shows the industry under the name, not a separate slogan. The field is filled only when the page shows a headline that differs from the industry.

**What happens when LinkedIn blocks a request?** The run waits and retries. In `auto` mode it then switches to the Residential proxy. A company that still cannot be read is reported in the run log and skipped.

**Can it run on a schedule?** Yes. Use Apify Schedules with the same input.

**Which errors can I see?** A company that does not exist is logged as "page not found" and skipped. An input that is not a company URL or slug is logged and skipped. A run with no readable company fails with a message that says why.
