## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Local Business Lead Finder + Website Audit (DACH)

Find local businesses in any German, Austrian or Swiss city and see instantly which ones need help online. For every business the Actor returns contact data from OpenStreetMap, audits the website (23 checks for local SEO, AI-search readiness and German legal basics) and ranks it with a lead score.

### How the lead score works

- **100:** no website at all
- **70:** website listed but not reachable
- **0–99:** 100 minus the website audit score, so weak websites rank higher

### Input

```json
{
  "cities": ["Aschaffenburg", "Würzburg"],
  "categories": ["locksmith", "electrician"],
  "auditWebsites": true,
  "maxPerSearch": 50
}
```

Categories: locksmith, electrician, plumber, roofer, painter, carpenter, cleaning, moving, car_repair, hairdresser, beauty, bakery, restaurant, dentist, physiotherapist, gardener, tailor, photographer.

Already have a Google Maps Scraper run? Put its dataset ID into `googleMapsDatasetId` and the Actor audits those businesses instead.

### Output

```json
{
  "leadScore": 34,
  "name": "Example Elektro",
  "category": "electrician",
  "city": "Aschaffenburg",
  "address": "Musterweg 1, 63739 Aschaffenburg",
  "phone": "+49 6021 000000",
  "website": "https://example.de/",
  "websiteScore": 66,
  "topFixes": [{ "id": "tel_link", "hint": "Kein anklickbarer Telefon-Link (tel:) …" }],
  "osmUrl": "https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1",
  "attribution": "© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL"
}
```

### Good to know

- **Coverage:** OpenStreetMap coverage of trades varies by city. For full coverage combine it with a Google Maps dataset.
- **Data source:** business data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL. Keep the attribution when you publish the data.
- **Legal (EU/Germany):** the data is public business listing data. Using it for marketing is your responsibility: unsolicited advertising emails or calls need prior consent under § 7 UWG, and GDPR applies to sole traders' names. This is not legal advice.
- The Actor reads only public pages and does not log in or submit forms.
