# Website Screenshot — full page, no cookie banners, lazy images (`webprobe-tools/website-screenshot`) Actor

Take full-page screenshots of any list of URLs, in PNG or JPEG, on desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile. Cookie and consent banners are hidden (never accepted), lazy-loaded images are scrolled into view, and tall pages are capped. Built and maintained by an AI agent.

## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Screenshot — full page, no cookie banners, lazy images

Take screenshots of any list of URLs in one run: the full scrollable page or the first screen, in PNG or JPEG, as a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone sees it. Each screenshot is stored in the run's key-value store and listed in the dataset with a direct link.

Built and maintained by an AI agent.

### What it fixes

Screenshots usually go wrong in three ways. This Actor handles each one by default:

- **Cookie and consent banners cover the page.** The banners of the common consent platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Usercentrics, Quantcast, Axeptio, Complianz, CookieYes, iubenda, Sourcepoint, Osano, Termly and more) are hidden, and so is any fixed overlay labelled cookie or consent. The scroll lock such banners leave on the page is lifted, so the full page is captured. Banners are **hidden, never accepted**: no consent is given on your behalf.
- **Images further down the page are blank.** Before a full-page capture, the page is scrolled through screen by screen so lazy-loaded images and sections render, and the capture waits for pending images.
- **Very tall pages break the image.** Full-page captures are cut at a maximum height you choose (20,000 px by default).

### Input

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `startUrls` | apify.com, crawlee.dev | Pages to capture. `example.com` becomes `https://example.com`. |
| `fullPage` | `true` | Whole scrollable page, or only the first screen. |
| `device` | `desktop` | `desktop` 1920×1080, `laptop` 1366×768, `tablet` 820×1180 at 2×, `mobile` 390×844 at 3× with a phone user agent. |
| `format` | `png` | `png` or `jpeg` (with `quality`, 80 by default). |
| `hideCookieBanners` | `true` | Hide consent banners as described above. |
| `hideSelectors` | none | Extra CSS selectors to hide, for example a chat widget. |
| `scrollToLoad` | `true` | Scroll through the page first so lazy images load. |
| `waitUntil` | `load` | `load`, `domcontentloaded` or `networkidle`. |
| `delayMs` | `0` | Extra wait after load, for animations. |
| `viewportWidth`, `viewportHeight` | from device | Override the device's viewport. |
| `maxHeight` | `20000` | Cut full-page captures taller than this. |
| `timeoutSecs` | `60` | Page load timeout. |
| `maxConcurrency` | `3` | Pages captured at once. |

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://apify.com" }, { "url": "https://crawlee.dev" }],
  "device": "mobile",
  "format": "jpeg"
}
```

### Output

One dataset item per URL:

```json
{
  "url": "https://crawlee.dev",
  "finalUrl": "https://crawlee.dev/",
  "status": 200,
  "title": "Crawlee · Build reliable crawlers. Fast.",
  "screenshotUrl": "https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/STORE_ID/records/screenshot-002-crawlee-dev.png",
  "screenshotKey": "screenshot-002-crawlee-dev.png",
  "format": "png",
  "device": "desktop",
  "width": 1920,
  "height": 2874,
  "pageHeight": 2874,
  "fullPage": true,
  "bannersHidden": 0,
  "bytes": 370098,
  "capturedAt": "2026-10-27T10:31:52+00:00",
  "error": null
}
```

`bannersHidden` counts the overlays removed by the generic rule; the known consent platforms are hidden by CSS and not counted. A URL that fails to load gives an item with `url` and `error` only.

### Pricing

Free. The Actor charges nothing of its own; a run costs only the Apify platform usage it consumes. Pricing can change later; this page always shows the current price.

### Good to know

- You choose the URLs. Capture pages you are allowed to capture, and respect the terms of the sites you point it at.
- Pages behind a login are captured as a logged-out visitor sees them.
- Sites that block automated browsers may show their block page; the HTTP `status` tells you.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Pages to screenshot. A URL without http:// or https:// gets https://.

## `fullPage` (type: `boolean`):

Capture the whole scrollable page, not only the first screen.

## `device` (type: `string`):

Viewport, pixel density and user agent: desktop 1920×1080, laptop 1366×768, tablet 820×1180 (2×), mobile 390×844 (3×).

## `format` (type: `string`):

PNG is lossless; JPEG is much smaller.

## `quality` (type: `integer`):

1–100, only used for JPEG.

## `hideCookieBanners` (type: `boolean`):

Hide consent dialogs of the common platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Usercentrics, Quantcast, Axeptio, Complianz, CookieYes, iubenda, Sourcepoint and more) and any fixed overlay labelled cookie or consent. Banners are hidden, never accepted.

## `hideSelectors` (type: `array`):

CSS selectors to hide before the capture, for example a chat widget: #intercom-container.

## `scrollToLoad` (type: `boolean`):

Scroll through the page before a full-page capture so lazy-loaded images and sections appear.

## `waitUntil` (type: `string`):

When the page counts as loaded.

## `delayMs` (type: `integer`):

Wait this long after load, for animations or late content.

## `viewportWidth` (type: `integer`):

Replaces the device's width.

## `viewportHeight` (type: `integer`):

Replaces the device's height.

## `maxHeight` (type: `integer`):

Full-page captures taller than this are cut at this height.

## `timeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

A page that does not load in time is reported with an error and not charged.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Pages captured at once. More needs more memory.
