## Pricing

from $0.18 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Reviews Scraper with Developer Replies

Reviews of any Android app from Google Play, newest first, in every language you ask for, with the **developer's reply**, the **app version** the user had, and the **helpful votes**. Filter by stars, date or keyword. Turn on **only new reviews since the last run** and schedule it to get a feed. Pay per review delivered.

Looking for iOS? The twin Actor reads the Apple App Store: [App Store Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/wellbuilt_zythem/app-store-reviews).

### What you get

One row per review:

| Field | Example | Filled (measured) |
|---|---|---|
| `reviewId` | `16ab577a-51fa-4cf4-ae34-fe62d4de2fc6` | 100 % |
| `date` | `2026-10-12T19:53:17.570Z` | 100 % |
| `score` | `2` (1-5) | 100 % |
| `text` | `Constant stopping issues since last update...` | 100 % |
| `userName` | `Avery Busch` | 100 % |
| `version` | `9.1.90.2270` (app version the reviewer had) | 86 % |
| `thumbsUp` | `12` (helpful votes, 0 when none) | 100 % |
| `developerReply` | `Hi there. Thanks for letting us know...` (`null` when none) | 7 % |
| `developerReplyDate` | `2026-10-13T08:10:02.000Z` | with the reply |
| `appId`, `appTitle` | `com.spotify.music`, `Spotify: Music and Podcasts` | 100 % |
| `language` | `en` | 100 % |
| `url` | link to the review on Google Play | 100 % |

Measured on 2026-10-14 over 320 Spotify reviews. The share of developer replies depends on the app: 7 % for Spotify, 0 % for apps whose developer never answers.

The run summary (key-value store, `RUN_SUMMARY`) adds the app details Google shows: title, developer, rating, number of ratings, installs, current version, last update.

#### What Google Play does not publish, so this Actor does not promise

- **Review titles.** Google Play reviews have no title (0 of 320 measured), so there is no `title` column.
- **Reviews per country.** Google keeps reviews **per language**, not per country: the US and the UK store return exactly the same English reviews (measured: 160 of 160 identical ids). Use **Languages** to widen the set, not countries.
- **Reviewer contact details.** Only the display name.
- **Today's reviews.** Google publishes reviews with about a day of delay (measured: the newest review available was 24 hours old at read time). A "Reviews since" of today returns nothing until tomorrow.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Apps** | Package names (`com.spotify.music`) or Google Play URLs, one per line. |
| **Languages** | Review languages, default `en`. Each app is read once per language. |
| **Store country** | Country of the store page used for the app details only (default `us`). |
| **Sort** | `newest` (default), `rating` or `helpfulness`. |
| **Max reviews per app and language** | Default 200. Google serves 150 per page; big apps have hundreds of thousands. |
| **Min / Max stars** | Keep only 1-2 stars for complaints, 5 for praise. |
| **Reviews since** | Date; with `newest` the run stops reading once it passes it. |
| **Keyword** | Keep only reviews whose text contains it. |
| **Only new reviews since the last run** | Feed mode, see below. |
| **Max reviews in total** | Hard cap for the whole run. |

```json
{
  "appIds": ["com.spotify.music", "com.netflix.mediaclient"],
  "languages": ["en", "es"],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 500,
  "maxScore": 2
}
```

### Feed mode: only new reviews

Turn on **Only new reviews since the last run** and schedule the Actor (daily, hourly). Each run remembers, per app and language, the ids it delivered and the date of the newest one, and the next run delivers only reviews newer than that. Measured: a second run minutes after the first read one page and delivered the 1 review that had arrived in between.

- The memory lives in the key-value store named in **State store name** (default `google-play-reviews-seen`). Use another name for a separate feed.
- **Forget delivered reviews** starts from scratch.
- If more reviews arrive between runs than **Max reviews per app and language**, the run delivers the newest ones and the next run picks up the rest.

### Speed and limits

- 150 reviews per page, about 1 second per page measured; 500 reviews per app and language in under 5 seconds.
- The run stops 20 seconds before its timeout and delivers what it read, with a warning naming the apps it could not finish.
- An app that does not exist in the store is skipped with a warning; the others are still read.
- No login, no proxies, no browser: the Actor reads the same public endpoints the Google Play website uses.

### Pricing

You pay per review delivered (`review` event) plus the platform's start fee. Filtered-out reviews, duplicates and reviews already delivered in feed mode are not charged.

### Run summary

`RUN_SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store: app details, reviews read and delivered per app and language, the feed watermark per language, inputs that were rejected and why, and whether the run was cut by time or by the charge limit.

# Actor input Schema

## `appIds` (type: `array`):

Package names (com.spotify.music) or Google Play URLs (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music). One per line.

## `languages` (type: `array`):

Two-letter review languages: en, es, de, fr, pt, ja... Each app is read once per language. Google Play keeps reviews per language, not per country: the US and UK stores return the same English reviews (measured), so this is the list to widen.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country of the store page used for the app details (title, rating, installs): us, gb, de... It does not change which reviews come back.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

newest first (needed for "Reviews since" and "Only new reviews" to stop early), by rating, or by helpfulness.

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Reviews to deliver for each app and language. Google serves 150 per page; big apps have hundreds of thousands.

## `minScore` (type: `integer`):

Keep only reviews with at least this many stars (1-5).

## `maxScore` (type: `integer`):

Keep only reviews with at most this many stars (1-5). Set 1-2 for complaints only.

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

Keep only reviews written on or after this date (2026-01-31). With sort "Newest" the run stops reading once it passes it.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Keep only reviews whose title or text contains this word or phrase (case-insensitive).

## `onlyNewReviews` (type: `boolean`):

Remember delivered review ids per app and country and deliver only what was not delivered before. Run it on a schedule to get a feed of new reviews.

## `stateStoreName` (type: `string`):

Key-value store that keeps the delivered ids for "Only new reviews". Use a different name to keep separate feeds.

## `resetState` (type: `boolean`):

Start "Only new reviews" from scratch in this run.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for the whole run, across all apps and countries. Empty for no cap.
