## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

Austria's government sends dozens of bills (Regierungsvorlagen) to parliament every year – on taxes, energy, labour law, construction, health and more. They are long and written in German legal language. This Actor tells you which ones matter for **your** company and why.

### What does Austrian Legislation Monitor do?

1. **Fetches** government bills (Regierungsvorlagen) from the **official Open Data API of the Austrian Parliament**.
2. **Filters** them by date, keywords and parliament topics.
3. **Summarizes** each bill in **English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Polish**.
4. **Assesses the business impact** for your company profile and scores relevance **0–100** with a reason.
5. **Delivers** a clean table (Excel, CSV, JSON) or feeds Slack, e-mail, Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n.

### Who is it for?

- **Compliance, legal and tax teams** of companies doing business in Austria
- **Public affairs agencies, trade associations and chambers**
- **Law firms and consultancies** monitoring regulatory change
- **German and international companies** that need Austrian legislation in their language

Tip: combine it with our **German Legislation Monitor** and **EU Consultation Radar** for full DACH and EU coverage.

### How to use it

1. Describe your **company profile** in 1–3 sentences.
2. Optional: add **keywords** (e.g. `Steuer`, `Energie`, `Bau`) or **topics** (e.g. `Arbeit`, `Wirtschaft`).
3. Choose the **output language** and run it.
4. Create a weekly **schedule** for an automatic briefing.

### Use with AI agents (MCP, LangChain, n8n)

Austrian Legislation Monitor works as a tool for AI agents and assistants. Connect it via the **Apify MCP server** (for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients) or via Apify's integrations for LangChain, LlamaIndex, Make, Zapier and n8n. The agent fills in the input fields, runs the Actor and receives clean, structured JSON with summaries, scores, deadlines and source links.

Example request an agent can handle with this Actor:

> "Summarize new Austrian government bills from the last 60 days in English and tell me which ones affect a construction company."

All input fields have clear descriptions, and every result has a stable structure – ideal for automated agent workflows.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you only pay for **analyzed bills that end up in your results**. Bills below your minimum relevance score are skipped and **not charged**. See the current price at the top of this page.

Users on the free Apify plan can try the Actor with up to 3 bills per run.

### Data source and terms

- **Source:** Parlament Österreich – Open Data (https://www.parlament.gv.at), result lists licensed under **CC BY 4.0**; government bills are free works. Attribution is included in every result.
- **Excluded by design:** statements (Stellungnahmen) and ministerial drafts in pre-parliamentary consultation are excluded from reuse by the Parliament and are **not collected**.
- **Modified content:** summaries, translations, impact analysis and scores are AI-generated, marked as such, may contain errors and are **not legal advice**. Always check the original (link in every result).
- **Neutral analysis:** the AI assesses practical business impact only and gives no political opinions.
