## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

UK government departments run dozens of consultations at any time – on tax, packaging, energy, food labelling, data, employment and more. Organisations that respond in time can influence the final rules. This Actor finds the ones that matter to you.

### What does UK Consultation Radar do?

1. **Fetches** all open consultations and calls for evidence from the **official GOV.UK APIs**.
2. **Filters** them by department, keywords and deadline – and skips consultations that have already closed.
3. **Summarizes** each one in **English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Polish**.
4. **Assesses the business impact** for your organisation and tells you **who should respond**.
5. **Scores relevance 0–100** and shows the **deadline, days left** and the **online response link**.
6. **Delivers** a clean table (Excel, CSV, JSON) or feeds Slack, e-mail, Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n.

### Who is it for?

- **Trade associations, chambers and membership bodies**
- **Public affairs, policy and government relations teams**
- **Compliance and regulatory teams** preparing for upcoming UK rules
- **Law firms and consultancies** advising clients on regulatory change
- **International companies** operating in the UK

### How to use it

1. Describe your **organisation profile** in 1–3 sentences.
2. Optional: filter by **departments** (e.g. `Treasury`, `Environment`, `Business and Trade`) or **keywords** (e.g. `packaging`, `tax`).
3. Optional: set **Closing within X days** and sort by **soonest deadline**.
4. Run it – or create a weekly **schedule** for an automatic consultation briefing.

### Use with AI agents (MCP, LangChain, n8n)

UK Consultation Radar works as a tool for AI agents and assistants. Connect it via the **Apify MCP server** (for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients) or via Apify's integrations for LangChain, LlamaIndex, Make, Zapier and n8n. The agent fills in the input fields, runs the Actor and receives clean, structured JSON with summaries, scores, deadlines and source links.

Example request an agent can handle with this Actor:

> "List open UK government consultations relevant to a food and drink manufacturer, sorted by deadline, with the links to respond."

All input fields have clear descriptions, and every result has a stable structure – ideal for automated agent workflows.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you only pay for **analyzed consultations that end up in your results**. Consultations below your minimum relevance score are skipped and **not charged**. See the current price at the top of this page. Use **Max. consultations per run** and Apify's **max cost per run** to control costs.

Users on the free Apify plan can try the Actor with up to 3 consultations per run.

### Data source and terms

- **Source:** GOV.UK. Contains public sector information licensed under the **Open Government Licence v3.0**; attribution is included in every result.
- **Modified content:** summaries, translations, impact analysis and scores are generated automatically by an AI model and are marked as such. They may contain errors and are **not legal advice**. Always read the official consultation (link in every result) before responding.
- **No personal data:** the Actor does not collect names or personal contact details.
- **Neutral analysis:** the AI assesses practical business relevance only and does not give political opinions.
