## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Brazilian Market Data (B3/Bovespa) for AI Agents — Quotes, Options & News

Clean, LLM-ready **Brazilian stock market data**: B3/Bovespa quotes, intraday and
closing market reports, **options (opções) data** and **financial news** — served
as **Markdown or JSON** for AI agents, LLM context windows and RAG pipelines.

No headless browser. No HTML parsing. No ads or navigation. One call returns the
page already cleaned and formatted.

### What data you get

Content from `pontoinvest.com.br`, a Brazilian market-data site covering:

- **B3 / Bovespa stock quotes** and charts (Brazilian equities)
- **Intraday and closing market reports** (daily market wrap-ups)
- **B3 options (opções) data**
- **Financial and market news** in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR)

### What does it do?

`pontoinvest.com.br` protects its content with an **HTTP 402 Payment Required**
response for AI crawlers — the site's "AI toll". Instead of returning HTML, the
site answers bots with a machine-readable payment instruction. This Actor is the
paid midfield of that scheme. When you run it, it:

1. Takes the `url` of the PontoInvest page you want to read.
2. Requests that page with the site's authorized access token.
3. Receives the page already rendered as **clean Markdown** (or JSON) by the
   site's LLM delivery endpoint.
4. Stores the result in the Actor's dataset, ready for your agent or pipeline.

The result is the same essential content a browser would see, stripped of
scripts, ads, navigation and layout markup — which makes it cheap and reliable to
feed into a RAG pipeline or an LLM context window.

### Why use this Actor?

- **One call instead of a scraping stack.** No headless browser, no HTML parser,
  no ad stripping to maintain.
- **LLM-ready output.** Markdown by default; structured JSON on request.
- **Stable.** The site serves this format on purpose, so the output does not
  break when the page layout changes.
- **Agentic payments.** Eligible for **x402 / Skyfire** — an AI agent can pay
  and run it with **no Apify account**.

### Use it from an AI agent (no Apify account needed)

This Actor is whitelisted for **agentic payments**. An autonomous agent can pay
per run in **USDC on Base** over the [x402 protocol](https://www.x402.org/):

```bash
## 1. Ask for the payment challenge (no credentials)
curl -si -X POST \
  -H 'X-APIFY-PAYMENT-PROTOCOL: X402' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"url":"https://pontoinvest.com.br/"}' \
  https://api.apify.com/v2/actors/SGVVwOG2cjn5HPxoc/run-sync-get-dataset-items
## -> HTTP 402 + a base64 `payment-required` header describing the x402 terms
## 2. Sign it with your wallet and retry with the PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header
```

The same endpoint also works with a normal Apify API token, or via the Apify MCP
server (`https://mcp.apify.com?payment=skyfire` for Skyfire).

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|-------|------|----------|-------------|
| `url` | string | yes | URL of the PontoInvest page to read. |
| `format` | string | no | `markdown` (default, best for LLMs) or `json`. |

Example input:

```json
{
  "url": "https://pontoinvest.com.br/blog/como-investir-em-acoes",
  "format": "markdown"
}
```

### Output

Each run pushes one item to the default dataset:

```json
{
  "url": "https://pontoinvest.com.br/",
  "status": 200,
  "contentType": "text/markdown; charset=utf-8",
  "format": "markdown",
  "fetchedAt": "2026-10-02T11:57:38.245Z",
  "authorized": true,
  "delivered": true,
  "content": "Ponto Invest - Cotações, Gráficos e Notícias do Mercado Financeiro\n\n..."
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `url` | The page that was fetched. |
| `status` | HTTP status returned by the site. |
| `contentType` | Response `Content-Type`. |
| `format` | Format you requested. |
| `fetchedAt` | ISO 8601 timestamp of the fetch. |
| `authorized` | `true` when the site accepted the toll token. |
| `delivered` | `true` when the page was successfully delivered — the only case that is charged. |
| `content` | The cleaned page content. |

You can read the dataset straight from your agent via the API:

```
GET https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/{datasetId}/items?token={YOUR_TOKEN}
```

### Pricing

Pay-per-event (PPE):

| Event | Price | Charged when |
|-------|-------|--------------|
| `page-fetched` | **$0.02** | once per page successfully fetched and delivered (HTTP 200 with the toll token accepted) |
| `actor-start` | $0.00005 | once per run |

You are **not** charged when the fetch fails. A network error, a rejected token
(HTTP 402), or empty content results in no `page-fetched` charge — you only pay
for pages you actually receive.

Apify handles the billing. The price shown on this Actor's page is authoritative.

### Limitations

- **PontoInvest only.** The Actor is built for `pontoinvest.com.br` and its
  content endpoints. It is not a general-purpose web scraper.
- **Content is in Brazilian Portuguese** (pt-BR), because that is the language of
  the source site.
- One URL per run.

### Support

Questions, a failing URL, or want another Brazilian finance source covered
(another B3/Bovespa data source, CVM filings, funds)? Open an issue on the
Actor's page in Apify Console and we will get back to you.

### Legal

This Actor reads publicly available content from `pontoinvest.com.br` through an
endpoint the site publishes for AI agents, with the site owner's authorization.
Respect the source site's terms of use.
