## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Trip.com Hotel Reviews Monitor — New Reviews Only

Track guest reviews of any hotels on **Trip.com** and get **only the reviews published since your last run**. Built for hotel groups, revenue and reputation managers, and agencies that feed reviews into dashboards, alerts or AI analysis.

Schedule it daily or weekly, and you pay only for reviews you haven't seen yet.

### What you get for each review

| Field | Example |
| --- | --- |
| `hotelName`, `hotelId`, `hotelCity`, `hotelCountry`, `hotelScore`, `hotelTotalReviews` | Marina Bay Sands Singapore · 9.7 · 1,798 reviews |
| `rating`, `ratingMax`, `ratingLabel` | 10 / 10 · Outstanding |
| `subRatings` | location, facilities, service, room |
| `text`, `language` | Full review text, `en` / `zh` / … |
| `publishedAt`, `checkInDate` | `2026-10-01T20:55:10` |
| `travelType`, `roomName` | Couple · Sands Premier Double Queen City View |
| `reviewerName`, `reviewerCountry`, `reviewerReviewCount` | Guest User · Australia · 2 |
| `photos`, `photoCount`, `helpfulCount`, `recommended` | |
| `replies`, `hasReply` | Follow-ups and replies attached to the review |
| `isNew`, `checkedAt` | Whether the review appeared since the previous run |

### How monitoring works

1. Add hotel URLs (`https://www.trip.com/hotels/detail/?hotelId=687592`) or numeric ids.
2. Keep **Mode = Only new reviews since last run**.
3. Create a **Schedule** (daily for busy hotels, weekly for small ones).
4. Each run outputs only reviews that were not returned before. Memory is kept in a key-value store in your account, separated by **Monitor name** — use one name per client.

Tips:

- **Negative review alerts:** set *Only reviews rated at most* to `6` and connect a Slack/email integration to the run.
- **First run:** choose *Remember silently* if you only want reviews that appear from now on.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **$0.005** per hotel checked
- **$0.004** per review returned

Example: 100 hotels checked daily, ~1 new review per hotel per week → about **$17/month** (3,000 checks × $0.005 + ~430 reviews × $0.004). In monitoring mode you never pay twice for the same review.

### Limitations

- Each check reads the latest reviews Trip.com shows on the hotel page (about 10). For hotels that receive more than ~10 reviews between runs, run more often (daily). Full historical backfill is not supported yet.
- Trip.com may change

# Actor input Schema

## `hotels` (type: `array`):

Trip.com hotel URLs (e.g. https://www.trip.com/hotels/detail/?hotelId=687592) or numeric hotel ids.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

'new' remembers what was already returned and outputs only new reviews on each run (use with a schedule). 'latest' always returns the latest reviews on the hotel page.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Keeps separate memory for separate monitors (e.g. one per client). Same name = same memory.

## `firstRunBehavior` (type: `string`):

On the first run for a hotel: output the current latest reviews, or just remember them and output only later ones.

## `publishedAfter` (type: `string`):

Optional. Skip reviews published before this date.

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Optional. E.g. 6 to get only negative and mixed reviews (scale 1–10) for alerting.

## `locale` (type: `string`):

Trip.com site locale, e.g. en-XX (default), en-US, de-DE, ja-JP.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many hotels to check in parallel. Keep it low (3) to stay polite to the website.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Not needed for most runs.
