## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Job Alerts: new jobs from any company's career page, daily

Give it a list of **company websites** and get their open jobs (or only the **newly posted** ones) straight from their own job boards on **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR and Personio**.

Schedule it every morning with **New within (days) = 1** and you have a clean **new-job alert feed** for your target companies: no aggregator reposts, no expired ads.

**Database today:** about 48,000 open jobs from 1,250+ company job boards. Companies that are not in the database yet are looked up live and then tracked daily.

### Who uses it

- **Recruiters and staffing agencies:** know the moment target accounts open a role.
- **Job seekers:** follow your dream companies without checking each careers page.
- **Sales teams:** new roles at your accounts are buying signals (new team, new budget).
- **Job boards and communities:** a daily feed of fresh jobs from a curated company list.

### Examples

All open jobs at three companies:

```json
{ "companyWebsites": ["vanta.com", "ramp.com", "stripe.com"] }
```

Daily alert: engineering roles posted since yesterday (schedule this every day):

```json
{ "companyWebsites": ["vanta.com", "ramp.com", "stripe.com"], "newWithinDays": 1, "departments": ["Engineering"] }
```

Remote sales roles only:

```json
{ "companyWebsites": ["vanta.com", "ramp.com"], "keywords": ["account executive", "sales"], "remoteOnly": true }
```

### How to get daily alerts

1. Save your input as a **Task** in Apify Console.
2. Add a **Schedule** (e.g. every day at 08:00) with `newWithinDays: 1`.
3. Connect an **integration**: email, Slack, Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or a webhook receives each day's new jobs.

### Output

One row per job: `company`, `title`, `location`, `countries`, `is_remote`, `department`, `team`, `seniority`, `technologies`, `salary_min`/`salary_max`/`salary_currency`/`salary_text`, `published_at`, `first_seen`, `url`, `apply_url`, `ats`, `source` (`live` when looked up during your run), and `description` when requested.

Websites with no supported public job board are listed in the run's key-value store under `NOT_FOUND` (not billed as jobs).

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **Job row**
- **Company lookup**: only for websites that are not yet in the database (one-time; afterwards they are tracked daily)

A run with no new jobs charges no job rows.

### FAQ

**How fresh is it?** The database is refreshed every day; companies you add are looked up live in your run.

**Which companies are supported?** Any company whose careers page uses one of the 8 job board systems above. Many tech companies do.

### Data and use

Only public job-posting data from official public job board endpoints, at a low request rate. Each row links to the original posting; please send applicants there.

### What you can do with it

- Get new job postings from a list of companies every morning
- Monitor competitors' and target accounts' career pages for new roles
- Send new jobs from chosen companies to Slack, email or a CRM
- Find a company's career page and ATS automatically from its website
- Track hiring at portfolio companies (VCs and investors)
- Build a curated job board from your favourite companies

### What it costs

| Example | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| a daily alert for 20 companies (~10 new jobs/day) for a month | about $0.90 |
| all open jobs at 10 companies (~400 jobs) | about $1.20 |
| first-time lookup of 50 companies not yet in the database | about $0.50 |

You only pay for rows you get. Set **Max results** (or a maximum cost per run in Apify) to cap spend. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, so you can try it at no cost. Apify subscribers get automatic Store discounts on some events.

### Use it from code, no-code tools or AI agents

**Python** (`pip install apify-client`):

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("worthwhile_quinsy/company-job-alerts").call(run_input={'companyWebsites': ['vanta.com', 'ramp.com'], 'newWithinDays': 1})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

**JavaScript / Node.js** (`npm install apify-client`):

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('worthwhile_quinsy/company-job-alerts').call({"companyWebsites": ["vanta.com", "ramp.com"], "newWithinDays": 1});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```

**One HTTP call** (returns the rows directly):

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/worthwhile_quinsy~company-job-alerts/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"companyWebsites": ["vanta.com", "ramp.com"], "newWithinDays": 1}'
```

**No-code:** connect it to **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack** or a **webhook** from the Integrations tab, and run it on a **Schedule** (for example every morning).

**AI agents (MCP):** use it as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client through the Apify MCP server: `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=worthwhile_quinsy/company-job-alerts`. Your agent can then ask for live job data in plain language. Use this tool when the user asks for new or open jobs at specific companies, given their websites.

### More tools from the same job-data suite

All of these read the same daily database of jobs from company career pages, so results are consistent across tools.
