## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote Jobs API: fresh remote tech jobs from company job boards

Get **remote-only jobs** taken directly from companies' own job boards on **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR and Personio**, refreshed every day. No aggregator reposts, no expired ads: closed jobs disappear on the next refresh.

**Database today:** about 48,000 open jobs from 1,250+ company job boards, including hundreds of remote-first companies.

### Who uses it

- **Remote job boards and newsletters:** a clean daily feed with apply links, salary, seniority and tech stack.
- **Job alert bots and Slack/Discord communities:** run it on a schedule with `newWithinDays: 1` to post only new roles.
- **Job seekers and recruiters:** filter remote roles by country eligibility, seniority, tech stack or salary.

### Examples

New remote engineering jobs from the last day:

```json
{ "keywords": ["engineer"], "newWithinDays": 1 }
```

Senior remote roles that mention Python, open to Europe, with salary:

```json
{ "seniority": ["senior", "staff_principal"], "technologies": ["Python"], "countries": ["Germany", "Netherlands", "Spain"], "salaryOnly": true }
```

### Output

One row per remote job: `title`, `company`, `company_website`, `location`, `countries`, `workplace_type`, `seniority`, `technologies`, `department`, `salary_min`, `salary_max`, `salary_currency`, `salary_period`, `published_at`, `first_seen`, `url`, `apply_url`, plus `description` when `includeDescription` is on.

### Pricing

Pay per job row returned. Runs with no matches charge no rows. Use **Max results** to cap spend.

### FAQ

**Do I get duplicate rows?** No by default: when a company posts the same role several times (same title and
location) you get one row, with `similar_postings` saying how many identical postings it stands for. Turn on
**Include duplicate postings** to get every posting.

**How fresh is it?** The database is refreshed daily; `database_updated_at` on each row shows when.

**What counts as remote?** Jobs the company marks as remote, or whose location says remote / anywhere / work from home.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes: use Apify schedules, the API, or integrations (Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, webhooks).

### Data and use

Only public job-posting data from official public job board endpoints. No personal data. Each row links to the original posting; please send applicants there.

Need non-remote jobs or company-level hiring signals? See the full **Company Jobs Search + Hiring Signals** Actor by the same developer.

### What you can do with it

- Build a remote job board or newsletter with a fresh daily feed of remote tech jobs
- Post new remote developer jobs to Slack, Discord or Telegram every morning
- Find remote jobs open to candidates in Europe, the US, Canada, LATAM or worldwide
- Filter remote jobs by seniority, tech stack (Python, React, Go, AWS...) and published salary
- Get remote jobs straight from Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby career pages, without reposts or expired ads
- Export remote jobs to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets

### What it costs

| Example | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| 100 remote jobs | about $0.30 |
| 1,000 remote jobs | about $3.00 |
| a daily feed of ~150 new jobs for a month | about $13.50 |

You only pay for rows you get. Set **Max results** (or a maximum cost per run in Apify) to cap spend. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, so you can try it at no cost. Apify subscribers get automatic Store discounts on some events.

### Use it from code, no-code tools or AI agents

**Python** (`pip install apify-client`):

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("worthwhile_quinsy/remote-jobs-api").call(run_input={'keywords': ['engineer'], 'newWithinDays': 1, 'maxResults': 100})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

**JavaScript / Node.js** (`npm install apify-client`):

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('worthwhile_quinsy/remote-jobs-api').call({"keywords": ["engineer"], "newWithinDays": 1, "maxResults": 100});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```

**One HTTP call** (returns the rows directly):

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/worthwhile_quinsy~remote-jobs-api/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"keywords": ["engineer"], "newWithinDays": 1, "maxResults": 100}'
```

**No-code:** connect it to **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack** or a **webhook** from the Integrations tab, and run it on a **Schedule** (for example every morning).

**AI agents (MCP):** use it as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client through the Apify MCP server: `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=worthwhile_quinsy/remote-jobs-api`. Your agent can then ask for live job data in plain language. Use this tool when the user asks for remote job openings, optionally filtered by role, country eligibility, seniority or salary.

### More tools from the same job-data suite

All of these read the same daily database of jobs from company career pages, so results are consistent across tools.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Match any of these in the job title, e.g. 'software engineer', 'designer', 'customer success'. Empty = all remote jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. 'intern', 'senior'.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

## `seniority` (type: `array`):

Heuristic level from the job title.

## `technologies` (type: `array`):

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose department or team contains any of these, e.g. 'Engineering', 'Sales'.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Jobs mode: add the plain-text job description (up to ~4,000 characters) to each row.

## `includeDuplicates` (type: `boolean`):

Large employers often post the same role several times (same title and location). By default you get one row per company + title + location, with similar\_postings telling how many identical postings it stands for. Turn this on to get every posting.
