## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## LinkedIn Public Company Page Scraper

Extracts publicly visible company information from LinkedIn company pages — **no login, no session cookies, no API keys required.**

### What This Actor Does

This Actor navigates to each company's public LinkedIn "About" page using an unauthenticated browser session and extracts whatever information LinkedIn serves to visitors who are not logged in. It does **not** log in, simulate login, or use session cookies.

#### Extracted fields (when visible publicly):

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `companyName` | Company name as shown on the page |
| `industry` | Industry classification |
| `companySize` | Employee count range (e.g. "10,001+") |
| `headquarters` | HQ location |
| `foundedYear` | Year the company was founded |
| `websiteUrl` | Company website link |
| `description` | Company description text |
| `followerCount` | Number of followers |
| `logoUrl` | URL to company logo image |
| `posts` | *(Optional)* Recent public posts |

#### Output per company includes a `status` field:

- `success` — Public data was extracted
- `login-wall` — LinkedIn required authentication; no data available for this company
- `not-found` — The company page was not found
- `blocked` — LinkedIn temporarily blocked the request
- `retry-exhausted` — Failed after all retry attempts
- `error` — Unexpected error

### ⚠️ Important Disclaimer

**This Actor only accesses what LinkedIn serves to unauthenticated visitors.** LinkedIn has been progressively gating company data behind login walls, and the amount of publicly visible information varies by company and changes over time. Some companies may return no data because LinkedIn requires login for their page. **This Actor will never attempt to log in or bypass authentication.**

- No individual people/profile data is collected
- No LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Recruiter access is used
- No session cookies or credentials are accepted or stored

### Input

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `companies` | Array | (required) | Company names (e.g. "Microsoft") or LinkedIn URLs (e.g. "https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft/") |
| `includeEmployeeCountRange` | Boolean | `true` | Include employee count range if visible |
| `includeRecentPosts` | Boolean | `false` | Extract recent posts from the public feed |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | `{ useApifyProxy: true }` | Apify proxy settings |
| `maxConcurrency` | Integer | `1` | Max concurrent navigations (keep low) |

### Example Input

```json
{
    "companies": [
        "Microsoft",
        "https://www.linkedin.com/company/google/",
        "Apple"
    ],
    "includeEmployeeCountRange": true,
    "includeRecentPosts": false
}
```

### Example Output

```json
{
    "companySlug": "microsoft",
    "originalInput": "Microsoft",
    "companyUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft/about/",
    "companyName": "Microsoft",
    "industry": "Software Development",
    "companySize": "10,001+",
    "headquarters": "Redmond, Washington",
    "foundedYear": "1975",
    "websiteUrl": "https://www.microsoft.com",
    "description": "Microsoft enables digital transformation...",
    "followerCount": "17300000",
    "logoUrl": "https://media.licdn.com/...",
    "status": "success",
    "scrapedAt": "2025-01-15T10:30:00.000Z"
}
```

### Anti-Blocking Measures

- Realistic viewport size (1366×768)
- Randomized delays between navigations
- Navigator fingerprint masking
- Apify residential proxies by default
- Login-wall detection before every extraction

### Costs

This Actor uses **Pay per result** pricing. You are charged per company processed, regardless of outcome. Companies where LinkedIn requires login are still counted as a result to be transparent about processing.

### Support

If the Actor returns `login-wall` for most companies, this means LinkedIn has restricted public access for those pages. This is a LinkedIn platform limitation, not an Actor bug.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Array of company names (e.g. "Microsoft") or LinkedIn company page URLs (e.g. "https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft/").

## `includeEmployeeCountRange` (type: `boolean`):

Whether to extract the employee count range (e.g. "10,001+") if visible on the public About page.

## `includeRecentPosts` (type: `boolean`):

Whether to extract recent posts visible on the company's public feed. Only posts accessible without login are included.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify proxy configuration. Uses Apify's built-in residential proxies by default to reduce blocking.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of concurrent page navigations. Keep low (1-2) to avoid triggering LinkedIn's anti-bot measures.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "companies": [],
  "includeEmployeeCountRange": true,
  "includeRecentPosts": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  },
  "maxConcurrency": 1
}
```
