## Pricing

from $4.00 / 1,000 pagespeed tests

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bulk PageSpeed & Core Web Vitals Checker

**Bulk PageSpeed & Core Web Vitals Checker** runs **Google PageSpeed Insights** on a list of URLs (up to 5,000 per run) and returns one clean row per page and device: **performance, SEO, accessibility and best-practices scores**, lab metrics (LCP, FCP, TBT, CLS, Speed Index, page weight), **real-user Core Web Vitals from Chrome UX Report (LCP, INP, CLS at the 75th percentile) with a passed / failed assessment**, and the **top fixes** with estimated savings.

Built for SEO audits, agency reporting and monitoring site speed after releases. **$5 per 1,000 tests**, no Google Cloud project or API key needed.

- 📱 **Mobile and desktop** in one run.
- 👥 **Real-user field data** (CrUX): page-level when the page has enough traffic, otherwise whole-site (origin) data, clearly labelled.
- ✅ **Core Web Vitals pass / fail** exactly like the PageSpeed Insights report.
- 🛠️ **Top opportunities** per page ("Reduce unused JavaScript", "Serve images in modern formats") with ms / bytes saved.
- 🔁 **Backup engine**: if Google's quota is busy, pages are tested on a backup Lighthouse service so your run still finishes (lab data only).
- ⚡ Parallel testing: 100 URLs in about 5 minutes.

### How to bulk check PageSpeed

1. Paste your **URLs** (one per line; `https://` is added when missing).
2. Choose **Devices** (mobile, desktop or both) and **Lighthouse categories**.
3. Click **Start** and export to CSV / Excel / Google Sheets.

### Input example

```json
{
    "urls": ["https://apify.com", "https://example.com/blog/"],
    "devices": ["mobile", "desktop"],
    "categories": ["performance", "seo"]
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
    "url": "https://apify.com",
    "device": "mobile",
    "status": "ok",
    "engine": "pagespeed_insights",
    "performance_score": 44,
    "failed_audits": ["unused-javascript", "unminified-css"]
}
```

### Pricing

Pay-per-event pricing. Paid Apify plans get automatic volume discounts (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

| Event | Price |
| --- | --- |
| PageSpeed test (`pagespeed-test`) | **$0.005** per URL per device ($5 per 1,000) |
| Backup Lighthouse test (`lighthouse-test`) | **$0.015** per URL per device, only when Google's quota is busy and **Use the backup Lighthouse service** is on |

Turn off the backup service to never pay the higher price (tests then fail with a clear error while Google's quota is busy). You can also add your own free Google API key under **Advanced**.

**Free Apify plan:** 10 URLs per run.

### Use it through the API, on a schedule or with AI agents

**One-link MCP setup:** `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=wrenfield-data/bulk-pagespeed-checker` (Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client). Set `maxTotalChargeUsd` on the run to cap what it can charge.

Schedule weekly speed checks, call it from the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2), or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n and Google Sheets. AI agents can call it through the Apify MCP server; one URL takes about 15-30 seconds.

### FAQ

**Where does the data come from?**
From the official Google PageSpeed Insights API (Lighthouse lab test + Chrome UX Report field data). The backup engine runs the same open-source Lighthouse on a licensed provider (DataForSEO).

**Why is there no field data for my page?**
Chrome UX Report only covers pages and sites with enough real Chrome traffic. Small sites show `cwv_assessment: no_data`.

**Why do scores change between runs?**
Lab scores vary a few points with network and server load. Field data (CrUX) is a 28-day rolling average and is stable.
