## Pricing

from $0.70 / 1,000 keyword suggestions

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Autocomplete Keyword Expander: hundreds of long-tail keyword ideas from one seed

**Google Autocomplete Keyword Expander** turns a seed keyword into **hundreds of long-tail keyword ideas** straight from **Google** (or **YouTube**) **autocomplete**, the suggestions people see as they type. It expands every seed with A-Z, 0-9, question words, prepositions and buyer modifiers, removes duplicates and returns a clean list. Optionally add **search volume, CPC, keyword difficulty and intent** to every idea.

- 🔤 **A-Z, 0-9, questions, prepositions and buyer modifiers** (best, cheap, review, alternative, near me, …).
- ❓ **Question keywords** flagged with `is_question` for FAQ and blog ideas.
- 🌍 **Any country and language**, Google Search or YouTube.
- 📈 **Optional metrics**: monthly search volume, CPC, competition, KD and intent in the same run.
- 💸 **$1 per 1,000 keywords**, no start fee. No proxies or setup needed.

### What data do you get?

| Field | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| `keyword` | The autocomplete suggestion (lower-cased, de-duplicated) |
| `seed_keyword` / `query` / `modifier` | Where it came from: the seed, the exact query typed and the modifier used |
| `position` / `relevance` | Rank in the suggestion list and Google's relevance score |
| `is_question` / `word_count` | Question keyword flag and length, handy for long-tail filtering |
| `depth` / `expanded_from` | 0 = from the seed, 1 = from deep expansion of a suggestion |
| `search_volume`, `cpc`, `competition`, `keyword_difficulty`, `search_intent` | Only with *Add search volume, CPC & difficulty* |

### How to find long-tail keywords

1. Enter one or more **Seed keywords**, e.g. `running shoes`.
2. Pick the **Country** and **Language**, and the **Expansions** you want.
3. Set **Max keywords** and optionally **Deep expand** for even longer phrases.
4. Click **Start**. A 500-keyword run usually takes under a minute.

### Use cases

- **Blog and content ideas**: find what people actually type around a topic, including questions.
- **Long-tail SEO**: build big lists of low-competition phrases, then score them with [Bulk Keyword Difficulty Checker](https://apify.com/wrenfield-data/keyword-difficulty-checker).
- **PPC keyword lists and negatives**: discover modifiers people use with your product.
- **YouTube SEO**: get YouTube search suggestions for titles and tags.

### Input example

```json
{
    "seedKeywords": ["running shoes"],
    "country": "US",
    "language": "English",
    "expansions": ["alphabet", "questions", "prepositions"],
    "maxKeywords": 500,
    "addSearchVolume": false
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
    "keyword": "running shoes under armour",
    "seed_keyword": "running shoes",
    "expanded_from": null,
    "query": "running shoes u",
    "modifier": "u",
    "position": 3,
    "relevance": 700,
    "depth": 0,
    "word_count": 4,
    "is_question": false,
    "source": "google_autocomplete",
    "country": "US",
    "language": "en",
    "scraped_at": "2026-10-19T00:41:35Z"
}
```

With *Add search volume, CPC & difficulty* every row also has `search_volume`, `cpc`, `competition`, `keyword_difficulty` and `search_intent`, for example `"running shoes expensive"`: 70 searches/month, CPC $0.61, KD 0, transactional.

### Pricing

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing. Paid Apify plans get automatic volume discounts.

| Event | Price |
| --- | --- |
| Keyword suggestion (`keyword-suggestion`) | **$0.001** per unique keyword returned |
| Keyword metrics (`keyword-metrics`) | **$0.005** per keyword enriched with search volume (optional) |
| Metrics batch (`metrics-batch`) | **$0.025** per search-volume request of up to 700 keywords (optional) |

| Example run | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| 1 seed, 500 suggestions | $0.50 |
| 10 seeds, 5,000 suggestions | $5.00 |
| 500 suggestions with search volume | $3.03 |

Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to cap your spend. **Free Apify plan:** 1 seed and 100 suggestions per run, without search volume.

### Use it through the API, on a schedule or with AI agents

**One-link MCP setup:** `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=wrenfield-data/google-autocomplete-keyword-expander` (Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client). Set `maxTotalChargeUsd` on the run to cap what it can charge.

Run it from Python, JavaScript or any HTTP client with the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2), schedule it to track changes every week or month, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and other integrations. AI agents can call it through the Apify MCP server.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/wrenfield-data~google-autocomplete-keyword-expander/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"seedKeywords": ["running shoes"], "country": "US", "maxKeywords": 500}'
```

### FAQ

**Are these real searches?**
Yes. Autocomplete suggestions come from what people search for on Google or YouTube. They're a great signal of real demand, but they don't include volumes unless you turn on the metrics add-on.

**Why do I get fewer keywords than "Max keywords"?**
Some seeds simply have fewer distinct suggestions. Add more expansions or turn on **Deep expand**.

**Does it need proxies?**
No setup needed. If Google rate-limits a run, the Actor slows down and retries automatically.
