## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🔎 What is Keyword Search Volume?

**Keyword Search Volume** gives you **Google search volume, CPC, competition and 24 months of monthly searches** for up to **10,000 keywords per run**, in **45 countries**. The numbers come straight from **Google Ads Keyword Planner data**. You don't need a Google Ads account, an API key or any setup.

Paste your keywords, pick a country, press **Start**. A few seconds later you have a clean table you can export to **Excel, CSV, JSON or Google Sheets**, or pull through the API.

**$2 per 1,000 keywords.** You only pay for keywords that come back.

### 📊 What data do you get for every keyword?

| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| 🔍 **Search volume** | Average monthly Google searches |
| 💰 **CPC** | Average cost per click (USD) |
| ⚔️ **Competition** | LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH and a 0–100 index |
| 🏷️ **Top-of-page bids** | Low and high bid advertisers pay for the top of the page |
| 📈 **3-month trend** | Change of the latest month vs. 3 months earlier, in % |
| 📅 **Year-over-year trend** | Change vs. the same month last year, in % |
| 🌡️ **Peak month** | The strongest month of the last 12, for seasonality |
| 🗓️ **Monthly searches** | Every month for the last 24 months |
| 💡 **Source** | `input` (your keyword) or `idea` (a related keyword found for you) |

### ✨ Why use this Actor?

- **No Google Ads account.** Keyword Planner hides exact numbers unless you spend money on ads. Here you get exact monthly volumes.
- **Bulk.** 10,000 keywords in one run instead of copy-pasting 700 at a time into Keyword Planner.
- **Trends included.** 3-month and year-over-year change, plus the peak month, are calculated for you.
- **Keyword ideas.** Turn on one switch and get related keywords with their volumes, like Keyword Planner's "Discover new keywords".
- **Fair price.** $2 per 1,000 keywords, and keywords with no volume can be skipped for free.
- **Safe.** Your max-charge limit is always respected, and if the data source is down you are **not charged**.

### 🚀 How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Paste your keywords (one per line), or paste a whole column from Excel or Google Sheets.
3. Choose the **country**. The language follows the country, or you can set your own.
4. Optional: switch on **Also find keyword ideas**.
5. Press **Start** and download the results.

  "source": "input"
}
```
In the **Overview** table you see keyword, volume, CPC, competition, trends and peak month side by side.
### 💵 How much does it cost?
You pay **per keyword returned**: **$0.002 per keyword ($2 per 1,000)**. Keyword ideas are billed the same way and are capped by "Max keyword ideas".
| Keywords | Price |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.20 |
| 1,000 | $2 |
| 10,000 | $20 |
The Apify free plan includes monthly credit, so you can try it at no cost.
### 🎯 Who uses it?
- **SEO teams** prioritising which pages to write first.
- **PPC managers** estimating budgets from CPC and top-of-page bids.
- **E-commerce stores** checking which products people actually search for, and when (seasonality).
- **Agencies** running keyword research for many clients and countries.
- **AI agents and automations** that need real search demand data.
### ❓ FAQ
**Where does the data come from?**
From Google Ads Keyword Planner, the same source Google advertisers use.
**Why do some keywords show 0 or no volume?**
Google reports very small or brand-new keywords as zero or unknown. Turn on **Skip keywords with no volume** and you won't pay for them.
**Which countries are supported?**
45 countries plus Worldwide: the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, most of Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
**Can I choose the language?**
Yes. Leave it empty to use the country's main language, or set a two-letter code such as `en`, `de`, `fr` or `es`.
**How many keywords can I check?**
Up to 10,000 per run. Need more? Start several runs, or schedule them.
**Why is a keyword missing from my results?**
Keywords longer than 80 characters or 10 words are skipped, because Google doesn't accept them. Duplicates are merged.
**Is the CPC in my currency?**
CPC and bids are in USD.
