## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Tenders Search – EU Public Procurement & TED Tenders API

**Tenders search** for EU public procurement. **Search and monitor every EU public procurement tender** published on **TED – Tenders Electronic Daily**, the official EU journal for public contracts (~€700 billion/year, all 27 EU member states + EEA, Switzerland, Ukraine and more). Filter by **keywords, CPV codes, country, deadline, estimated value and notice type**, and get clean, flat JSON ready for your CRM, spreadsheet, Slack alert or AI agent.

Built on the **official TED v3 Search API** of the EU Publications Office – no scraping, no proxies, no login, fast and stable.

### What you can do

- 🔎 **Find open tenders** for your products: "software", "solar", "cleaning", CPV 72000000 (IT services), 45000000 (construction)…
- 🔔 **Daily tender alerts** – turn on *Monitor mode* and schedule the Actor; each run returns only notices you have not seen yet.
- 🏆 **Contract award intelligence** – who won what, at what value (`noticeTypes: awards`).
- 🌍 **Multilingual** – titles and buyer names in English (or DE/FR/ES/IT/PL/HU/NL/CS/PT/RO/SV) where TED provides translations.
- 🤖 **AI agents & MCP** – small predictable records, ideal for Claude/Cursor via the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`).

### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": ["cybersecurity", "SIEM"],
  "cpvCodes": ["72000000", "48000000"],
  "countries": ["DE", "AT", "PL"],
  "noticeTypes": "tenders",
  "onlyOpen": true,
  "minEstimatedValue": 100000,
  "maxNotices": 100,
  "onlyNew": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "notice_id": "714026-2026",
  "title": "Hungary – Sound equipment – Hangtár eszközbeszerzése",
  "buyer": "Erkel Színház Nonprofit Kft.",
  "buyer_country": ["HUN"], "place_of_performance": ["HU120", "HUN", "HU110"],
  "notice_type": "cn-standard", "procedure_type": "open", "contract_nature": ["supplies"],
  "cpv_codes": ["32342410"], "publication_date": "2026-10-15", "deadline": "2026-11-13",
  "estimated_value": null, "currency": null,
  "url": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/714026-2026",
  "pdf_url": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/714026-2026/pdf",
  "source": "TED – Tenders Electronic Daily (EU Publications Office)"
}
```

The run summary (`OUTPUT` record) shows the exact TED query and total matches.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.003 per tender notice returned** + $0.005 per run start. 100 tenders ≈ $0.31. Use `maxNotices` and Monitor mode to control cost – you never pay for notices you already received.

### Tips

- CPV trailing zeros are a prefix: `72000000` matches every IT-services code (72xxxxxx).
- Countries match the buyer **or** the place of performance.
- Power users: `expertQuery` accepts raw TED expert syntax (e.g. `FT~"hydrogen" AND buyer-country IN (NLD)`).

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** Yes – TED data is published by the EU Publications Office as open data, free to reuse (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU). Each record links to the official notice.
**How fresh?** TED publishes every working day; the Actor queries TED live.
**National-only tenders below EU thresholds?** Those are on national portals and are not in TED.
