## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## mobile.de Scraper: German car listings with price ratings

Scrape used and new car listings from **mobile.de**, Germany's largest car marketplace. You get clean JSON with make, model, price, mobile.de's price rating, mileage, first registration, fuel, gearbox, power, engine size, body type, colour, emission class, seller type, city and photos. Use it as an unofficial mobile.de API for German used car prices and dealer stock. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from your own code.

- **Cheap:** $0.35 per 1,000 results, plus $0.0005 per run.
- **Filtered at the source:** make, condition, price, year and mileage are filtered by mobile.de itself, so you only pay for listings you asked for.
- **Newest first:** results come in mobile.de's "newest listings" order, ideal for daily feeds.
- **Price ratings included:** every listing carries mobile.de's own `priceRating` (very good, good, reasonable, increased or high price).
- **No personal data:** seller phone numbers, names, street addresses and postcodes are never collected.

### What can you use it for?

- **Car import and trading:** find German cars rated below market price to buy and export.
- **Price comparison:** compare German asking prices with your home market.
- **Dealer and stock monitoring:** track new listings for a make every day.
- **Market data:** feed listings into a spreadsheet, dashboard or valuation model.

### How to scrape mobile.de

1. Enter a `make` (for example `BMW`, `Mercedes-Benz` or `VW`) and optionally a `model`.
2. Add filters such as condition, price, year and mileage, and set `maxResults`.
3. Click **Start**. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Input

```json
{
  "make": "BMW",
  "model": "320",
  "condition": "used",
  "priceMax": 30000,
  "yearMin": 2016,
  "mileageMax": 150000,
  "maxResults": 100
}
```

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `make` | One make, any spelling (`BMW`, `Mercedes-Benz`, `VW`). Leave empty for all makes. |
| `model` | Keep only models containing this text (`X5`, `Golf`). Needs a make. |
| `query` | mobile.de full-text search (for example `Panoramadach`). |
| `condition` | `used`, `new` or `all` (default). |
| `priceMin` / `priceMax` | Price range in EUR. |
| `yearMin` / `yearMax` | First registration year. |
| `mileageMax` | Maximum mileage in km. |
| `maxResults` | How many listings to return. mobile.de shows at most 50 pages (about 1,000 listings) per search; narrow the filters to go deeper. |
| `maxPages` | Optional cap on result pages (about 20 listings each). |
| `maxImages` | Photo URLs per listing (mobile.de's results page shows up to 5). Images are links, not downloads. |
| `useCache` / `cacheTtlMinutes` | Repeating the same search within 30 minutes returns the stored results instantly, without contacting the site. Set `useCache: false` for always-live data. |

### Output

```json
{
  "listingId": "53735364234816",
  "title": "BMW 318",
  "canonicalUrl": "https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=53735364234816",
  "make": "BMW",
  "model": "318",
  "price": 12500,
  "priceCurrency": "EUR",
  "priceRating": "REASONABLE_PRICE",
  "mileageKm": 125331,
  "firstRegistration": "04/2017",
  "firstRegistrationDate": "2017-04",
  "year": 2017,
  "fuelType": "Benzin",
  "transmission": "Automatik",
  "power": "100 kW (136 PS)",
  "engineSize": "1.499 cm³",
  "bodyType": "Kombi",
  "colour": "Weiß",
  "doors": "4/5",
  "seats": "5",
  "emissionClass": "Euro6c",
  "condition": "Used",
  "sellerType": "Private",
  "city": "Neubulach",
  "country": "DE",
  "sponsored": true,
  "imageUrls": ["https://img.classistatic.de/api/v1/mo-prod/images/73/73ec0c5b-…?rule=mo-1024"],
  "imageCount": 14,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-01T09:24:23.433Z"
}
```

Text fields are in German, as mobile.de shows them. `imageCount` is the listing's total photo count; `imageUrls` holds the photos shown on the results page. `sponsored` marks paid placements. Fields mobile.de doesn't show for a listing are `null`.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per run + $0.00035 per result**.

| Results | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.04 |
| 1,000 | $0.35 |
| 10,000 | $3.50 |

The actor respects your run's maximum charge. It stops fetching once that limit is reached, so you are never billed past it.

### Tips

- mobile.de is slow to answer automated requests: expect 20 to 60 seconds per page of about 20 listings. 50 listings take about 2 minutes.
- If mobile.de stops answering partway through a search, the actor returns the listings it already has and says so in the run status. Run it again: cached pages are reused, so you only pay for new listings.
- One make per run. For several makes, run once per make or use tasks.

### Use it from your code

Call the scraper through the Apify API, here with the Python client (`pip install apify-client`):

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("xerneas_ftw/mobile-de-cars").call(run_input={
    "make": "Volkswagen",
    "model": "Golf",
    "condition": "used",
    "priceMax": 20000,
    "maxResults": 200,
})
for car in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(car["title"], car["price"], car["priceRating"])
```

It also works with JavaScript, plain HTTP, Make, Zapier, n8n and Google Sheets through Apify integrations.

### FAQ

**Is there an official mobile.de API?** mobile.de offers APIs to registered dealers for their own stock, not for searching all listings. This actor gives you search results as structured JSON.

**Do I need a mobile.de account or proxies?** No. Everything is handled for you.

**Why do I get at most about 1,000 listings per search?** mobile.de shows 50 result pages per search. Split the search by year or price to get more.

**Does it collect seller contact details?** No. It collects only listing data. Phone numbers, seller names and addresses are never output.

### Legal

This actor collects only publicly available listing data and no personal data. mobile.de's terms of use restrict automated collection. You are responsible for checking that your use of the data is allowed by mobile.de's terms and applicable law, including GDPR.
