## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Subito.it Cars Scraper: Italian used car listings, fast and cheap

Scrape car listings from **Subito.it** (subito.it/auto), Italy's largest classifieds site. You get clean JSON with make, model, trim, year, mileage, fuel, gearbox, price, publish date and photos. Use it as an unofficial Subito API for Italian used car prices, dealer and private ads, and new-listing alerts. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from your own code.

- **Cheap:** $0.70 per 1,000 listings, plus $0.0005 per run.
- **Fast:** up to 100 listings per request, with no browser.
- **Filtered at the source:** text search, price and year are filtered by Subito itself. Mileage is filtered as results arrive.
- **Smart cache:** a repeat search downloads only the listings that are new since the last run.

### What can you use it for?

- **Price research:** track what a make and model sells for in Italy by year and mileage.
- **Car import and trading:** find underpriced Italian cars to buy for resale in other countries.
- **New-listing alerts:** schedule a run every hour and get only the ads posted since the last one.
- **Market data:** feed listings into a spreadsheet, dashboard or valuation model.

### How to scrape Subito.it car listings

1. Run a search on [subito.it/annunci-italia/vendita/auto](https://www.subito.it/annunci-italia/vendita/auto/) and copy the URL, or just type a make into `query`.
2. Paste it into `searchUrls`, and set `maxItems` and any filters.
3. Click **Start**. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Input

Paste any Subito car search URL, and add filters if you like:

```json
{
  "searchUrls": ["https://www.subito.it/annunci-italia/vendita/auto/?q=bmw"],
  "maxItems": 100,
  "priceMax": 30000,
  "yearMin": 2016,
  "maxMileageKm": 150000
}
```

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `searchUrls` | Subito car search URLs (`/annunci-italia/vendita/auto/`). Supported URL filters: `q`, `ps`/`pe` (price) and `ys`/`ye` (year). |
| `query` | Free-text search such as a make; overrides `?q=`. |
| `priceMin` / `priceMax` | Price in EUR. |
| `yearMin` / `yearMax` | Registration year. |
| `maxMileageKm` | Maximum mileage. |
| `maxItems` | How many listings to return across all URLs (default 50). |
| `maxImages` | Image URLs per listing (default 10). Images are links, not downloads. |
| `useCache` | Within 30 minutes, a repeat search is served instantly. Within 6 hours, only new listings are fetched. Set `false` for fully live data. |

Newest listings come first. `q` is Subito's free-text search, so `q=bmw` can also match other makes whose ads mention BMW.

### Output

```json
{
  "listingId": 632715478,
  "urn": "id:ad:…:list:632715478",
  "listingUrl": "https://www.subito.it/auto/bmw-118-d-…-632715478.htm",
  "title": "BMW 118 d 5p. Automatic Sport",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-31T09:35:50.807Z",
  "price": 19900,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "features": {
    "car": ["BMW", "Serie 1 (F40)", "118d 5p. Business Advantage"],
    "year": 2019,
    "mileage": "120.000 - 129.999",
    "mileage_scalar": "129800 Km",
    "fuel": "Diesel",
    "gearbox": "Automatico",
    "vehicle_status": "Usato"
  },
  "images": ["https://images.sbito.it/api/v1/sbt-ads-images-pro/images/…?rule=gallery-desktop-2x-auto"]
}
```

`features.car` is `[make, model, trim]`. Km0 cars have no `mileage_scalar`, and some ads have no photos.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per run + $0.0007 per listing**.

| Listings | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.07 |
| 1,000 | $0.70 |
| 10,000 | $7.00 |

The actor respects your run's maximum charge. It stops fetching once that limit is reached.

### Use it from your code

Call the scraper through the Apify API, here with the Python client (`pip install apify-client`):

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("xerneas_ftw/subito-cars").call(run_input={
    "query": "fiat 500",
    "maxItems": 200,
    "yearMin": 2018,
})
for car in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(car["title"], car["price"])
```

It also works with JavaScript, plain HTTP, Make, Zapier, n8n and Google Sheets through Apify integrations.

### FAQ

**Is there an official Subito.it API?** Not a public one for car listings. This actor gives you the same data as structured JSON.

**Do I need a Subito account or proxies?** No. Everything is handled for you.

**Does it collect phone numbers or seller names?** No. It collects only listing data, not personal data.

**Can I get other categories, like motorbikes or property?** Not yet. This actor covers cars (`/vendita/auto/`) only.

### Legal

This actor collects only publicly available listing data and no personal data such as phone numbers. You are responsible for using the data in line with Subito's terms and applicable law, including GDPR.
