## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper

Get **every open job from any company careers site on Workday** (`myworkdayjobs.com`) in one clean table: title, location, country, time type, exact posting date, job ID and the full description. Paste the careers-page link; no login, no cookies, no proxy.

Thousands of large employers (NVIDIA, Salesforce, banks, hospitals, universities, governments) post jobs on Workday, and most don't list every role on job boards.

### What you get

| company | title | location | country | timeType | postedDate | jobId |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| nvidia | Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Center - Engineering Operations | US, CA, Santa Clara | United States of America | Full time | 2026-10-31 | JR2001987 |

Every job also has `allLocations`, `remoteType`, `validThrough`, `postedOn` (Workday's own "Posted 3 Days Ago" text), `url`, `description` and `scrapedAt`.

### Use cases

- **Job boards and aggregators:** pull complete, fresh listings from the employers your users care about.
- **Recruiting and sales intelligence:** track who is hiring, for which teams, and where.
- **Labour-market research:** count openings by company, country and role over time.
- **Job seekers:** watch your target companies daily and get only new roles.

### How much does it cost?

You pay **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, nothing else. Set *Maximum results* to cap your spend; the run stops when it reaches your limit. Jobs outside your date filter and URLs that aren't Workday sites are free.

### How to use it

1. Open the company's careers site and copy the address. It looks like `https://<company>.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/<SiteName>`. A link to any single job on the site works too.
2. Paste one or more into **Workday careers-site URLs**.
3. Optionally add **Search keywords** (same as the site's search box) and **Posted within (days)**.
4. Click **Start** and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull them by API.

Schedule it daily with *Posted within (days)* = 1 to get only new jobs.

### Input example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite" },
    { "url": "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External_Career_Site" }
  ],
  "searchText": "data engineer",
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

### Speed

About 1,000 jobs a minute with **Include description and exact dates** turned off, and about 200–300 a minute with it on. With it off, `location` shows Workday's summary (e.g. "2 Locations") and `postedDate` is worked out from "Posted N Days Ago".

### FAQ

**Which URL do I use?** The careers page itself, e.g. `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`. The `wd1`/`wd5`/`wd12` part differs by company; copy it exactly.

**A URL returned nothing.** It's listed under `FAILED_URLS` in the run's key-value store. Check that it opens a myworkdayjobs.com job list in your browser.

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads the public job listings each employer publishes on its own careers site.

**Something broke.** Open an issue on the Issues tab; fixes usually ship within 24 hours.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

One or more myworkdayjobs.com careers pages, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. Any job link from the site works too.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Same as the search box on the careers page, e.g. "data engineer". Leave empty for all jobs.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. Leave empty for all.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job for the full description, exact posting date, country, time type and all locations. Slower, same price.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. You are charged per job, so this caps your cost.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed normally; Workday careers sites are public.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    {
      "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"
    }
  ],
  "includeDetails": true,
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

Every job saved in this run.
