## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Scraper - Prices for Your Dates

Get hotel prices from Google Hotels for any city and any dates. Enter one or more locations, pick check-in and check-out, and get a clean table of hotels with nightly and total prices, star class, ratings and links.

It talks to Google Hotels directly over HTTP, with no browser, so runs are fast (about 60 hotels in 5 seconds) and cheap. Blocked requests retry automatically on fresh proxies, and one bad location never fails the whole run.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
| ---- | ---- |
| `name` | The Grand, York |
| `pricePerNight` / `priceTotal` | 412 / 824 |
| `currency` | EUR |
| `checkIn` / `checkOut` / `nights` | 2026-11-20 / 2026-11-22 / 2 |
| `hotelClass` | 5 |
| `rating` / `reviewCount` | 4.6 / 3322 |
| `ratingDistribution` | `{"5": 2400, "4": 610, ...}` |
| `latitude` / `longitude` | 53.96, -1.09 |
| `checkInTime` / `checkOutTime` | 3:00 PM / 11:00 AM |
| `description`, `photos` | Short summary and up to 10 photo URLs |
| `googleHotelsUrl`, `googleMapsUrl`, `placeId` | Links and IDs for joining with other data |
| `searchLocation`, `resolvedLocation`, `position` | What you asked for, what Google matched, and the rank in results |

`available` is `false` when Google shows the hotel but no price for your dates (sold out or no partner rates).

### Input

- **Locations**: anything you'd type into Google Hotels, such as `Paris`, `Soho, London` or `near Times Square`.
- **Check-in / check-out**: or set check-in and a number of nights. Check-in defaults to two weeks from today.
- **Adults**, **currency** (ISO code), **Google country** and **language**.
- **Max hotels per location**: up to 1,000.

### Use cases

- Rate shopping and competitor price monitoring for hotels and revenue managers
- Travel price trackers, alerts and deal sites
- Market research on hotel supply and pricing by city and season
- Feeding AI travel agents with live prices

### Pricing

You pay per hotel returned. Set a maximum cost for a run and the scraper stops cleanly when it reaches it.

### Tips

- Prices depend on the Google country: `gl=us` and `gl=uk` can show different booking partners for the same hotel.
- Schedule the Actor daily to build a price history for your dates.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Cities, areas or landmarks to search, as you'd type them into Google (e.g. "Paris", "Soho, London", "near Times Square").

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

Defaults to 14 days from today.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

Leave empty to use the number of nights instead.

## `nights` (type: `integer`):

Used when no check-out date is set.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Number of adult guests; prices are for this party size.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

ISO code, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code Google searches as (gl). Affects which booking sites and prices appear.
