## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Remote Jobs Feed do?

**Remote Jobs Feed** collects fresh **remote jobs** from **[Remote OK](https://remoteok.com), [Jobicy](https://jobicy.com) and [Arbeitnow](https://www.arbeitnow.com)** through their official public APIs and returns them as **one clean, deduplicated list**: company, title, where applicants can be, seniority, tags, **salary**, posting date and the original links. It works as a **remote jobs API** you can schedule, filter and plug into anything.

Turn on **monitor mode** and each scheduled run returns **only the jobs that are new since the last run**, ready for a daily email, Slack channel or job board.

### Why use Remote Jobs Feed?

- 🌍 **Job seekers.** One daily list of new remote roles that match your skills, region and salary floor.
- 🧭 **Niche job boards and newsletters.** A steady, clean feed of remote jobs with the credit line the boards ask for already written.
- 📈 **Recruiters and sales teams.** See which companies are hiring remotely, in which roles and at what pay.
- 🤖 **AI agents.** A simple, predictable tool your agent can call through the Apify API or MCP.

What makes it different:

- **Three boards, one schema, duplicates removed.** When the same job is on two boards you get it once, with `alsoListedOn` showing where else it appeared.
- **Salary, region and keyword filters**, plus a minimum yearly salary.
- **Source credit built in.** Every row carries `sourceName`, the original `url` and a ready-made `attribution` line.
- **No run fee.** You pay per job saved, nothing else.

### What data can Remote Jobs Feed extract?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `company`, `title` | Hiring company and job title |
| `location` | Where applicants can be, as the board states it ("USA, Canada", "Europe", "Remote") |
| `seniority`, `employmentType`, `tags` | Level, type and skills or categories |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod` | Pay range, when published |
| `postedAt` | When the job was posted |
| `url`, `applyUrl` | The job on the source board and the original apply link |
| `sourceName`, `attribution`, `alsoListedOn` | Credit and duplicate information |
| `description` | Optional plain-text description |

### How to get remote jobs from Remote OK, Jobicy and Arbeitnow

1. Open the **Input** tab. Run it as is for every current remote job, or add **keywords** like `React` or `customer success`.
2. Optionally filter by **region**, **minimum yearly salary**, **salary only** or **posted within N days**.
3. Click **Start** and download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.
4. For daily alerts, turn on **Only new jobs since last run** and add a **Schedule**.

### How much does it cost to scrape remote jobs?

Pay per event: **$0.80 per 1,000 jobs saved**. No start fee. A typical unfiltered run returns about 400–500 current remote jobs, roughly **$0.36**. A filtered daily monitor usually costs a few cents a month. Apify's free plan includes monthly credits you can use to try it.

### Input

See the **Input** tab for every option. Nothing is required. Sources are read in the order listed; when a job appears on more than one board, the first board's copy is kept.

### Output

You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

```json
{
  "jobId": "remoteok:1000001",
  "source": "remoteok",
  "sourceName": "Remote OK",
  "company": "Example Corp",
  "title": "Senior Frontend Engineer",
  "location": "USA, Canada",
  "seniority": "Senior",
  "tags": ["react", "typescript"],
  "salaryMin": 120000,
  "salaryMax": 150000,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "postedAt": "2026-01-15T12:00:00.000Z",
  "url": "https://remoteok.com/remote-jobs/example-1000001",
  "alsoListedOn": ["Jobicy"],
  "attribution": "Job via Remote OK: https://remoteok.com/remote-jobs/example-1000001"
}
```

### Using the jobs: credit the source

The boards share their jobs on one condition: **credit them and link back**. If you show these jobs anywhere (a site, an app, a newsletter), show the `attribution` line or link to `url`, and send applicants to `applyUrl` unchanged. Don't use the boards' logos without their permission. Remote OK asks for a normal (followed) link.

### FAQ, disclaimers and support

**Why not Remotive, Himalayas or We Work Remotely?** Remotive's and Himalayas' API terms forbid passing their jobs on to other aggregators, so they're deliberately left out.

> Our Actors are ethical and do not extract any private user data, such as email addresses, gender, or location. They only extract what the user has chosen to share publicly. We therefore believe that our Actors, when used for ethical purposes by Apify users, are safe. However, you should be aware that your results could contain personal data. # Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, company, tags or description mention at least one of these, for example "React", "product manager" or "customer success". Leave empty for all remote jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title, company or tags mention any of these, for example "senior" or "crypto".

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs open to these regions, for example "Worldwide", "USA", "Europe" or "UK". Many Remote OK jobs don't name a region and show as "Remote".

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Drop jobs whose yearly salary is below this. Jobs without a salary are kept unless "Only jobs with a salary" is on.

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that publish a pay range.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs posted in the last N days. 0 keeps all.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Which job boards to read. All by default. When the same job is on several boards, the first one in this order is kept.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the plain-text job description to each row. Keyword filters also search descriptions when this is on.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs (newest first).

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Remember the jobs already returned and output only new ones on later runs. Ideal with a daily schedule. The first run returns everything that matches.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Use a different name for each separate watch so their memories don't mix.
