## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Company Verification (KYB): Official Registries

**Verify any company in seconds against official business registries, one at a time or thousands at once.**

Paste a list of company names, registration numbers or VAT numbers and get back a clean profile for each one from the **official registries of France, Norway, Finland, Czechia and Poland**: legal name, **status** (active, closed, in liquidation, bankrupt, insolvent), legal form, registered address, incorporation date, activity code and VAT number, with a link to the registry page and a match score. No API keys, no scraping, no personal data.

### ✨ Why use it

- ✅ **Official registries only:** SIRENE/RNE, Brønnøysund, YTJ, ARES and KRS.
- 🔎 **Any identifier works:** names, SIREN/SIRET, organisasjonsnummer, Y-tunnus, IČO, KRS or VAT numbers, detected automatically.
- ⚠️ **Spot risk early:** liquidations, bankruptcies and insolvency proceedings.
- 🎯 **Match score:** see at a glance how closely the registered name matches the one you were given.
- 💸 **Pay only for matches:** $0.005 per company found. Queries with no match are free.
- 🔒 **No personal data:** sole traders are excluded, and directors and shareholders are never returned.

### 🌍 Coverage

- 🇫🇷 **France:** SIRENE / RNE (SIREN, SIRET or FR VAT number, or name).
- 🇳🇴 **Norway:** Brønnøysund Register Centre (organisasjonsnummer or name).
- 🇫🇮 **Finland:** PRH / YTJ (Y-tunnus or name).
- 🇨🇿 **Czechia:** ARES (IČO, DIČ or name).
- 🇵🇱 **Poland:** KRS (KRS number).

### 💡 Use cases

- **KYB and customer onboarding:** confirm that a new customer exists, is active and matches the details they gave you.
- **Supplier onboarding and procurement:** check registration and VAT numbers before the first invoice.
- **Credit and risk teams:** check a portfolio for liquidations, bankruptcies and insolvencies.
- **CRM clean-up:** fill in registration numbers, VAT numbers, addresses and activity codes for a list of company names.
- **AI agents:** a reliable company lookup tool through the Apify API or MCP.

### 🚀 How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Paste company names, registration numbers or VAT numbers, one per line. Add a country prefix such as `FR: Airbus` to search only there.
3. Run it and download the results as **Excel, CSV or JSON**, or read them from the **Apify API**.
4. Checking new customers every day? Call it from your onboarding flow through the API, or from Make, Zapier or n8n.

### 📥 Input

```json
{
  "queries": ["FR: Airbus", "923609016", "FI: Nokia Oyj", "CZ00177041", "0000019193"],
  "maxMatchesPerQuery": 3
}
```

- **Names** are searched in every selected registry (except Poland). Prefix a country to search only there: `FR: Boulangerie Dupont`.
- **Numbers** are recognized automatically: SIREN/SIRET and FR VAT, NO organisasjonsnummer (and `NO…MVA`), FI Y-tunnus (and `FI…`), CZ IČO (and `CZ…`), PL KRS (10 digits). A 9-digit number is checked in both France and Norway.

### 📦 Output

One row per company found:

```json
{
  "query": "FR: Airbus",
  "found": true,
  "matchType": "name",
  "matchScore": 1.0,
  "country": "FR",
  "registry": "SIRENE / RNE",
  "registryId": "383474814",
  "name": "AIRBUS",
  "legalForm": "SAS",
  "legalFormCode": "5710",
  "status": "active",
  "incorporationDate": "1991-10-18",
  "address": "2 ROND-POINT DEWOITINE 31700 BLAGNAC",
  "postalCode": "31700",
  "city": "BLAGNAC",
  "activityCode": "30.30Z",
  "vatNumber": "FR89383474814",
  "employees": "10000+",
  "otherIds": { "siret": "38347481400100" },
  "registryUrl": "https://annuaire-entreprises.data.gouv.fr/entreprise/383474814"
}
```

Queries with no match get one row with `found: false` and the registries searched. **Those rows are free.**

`matchScore` (0 to 1) compares the name you gave with the registered name, ignoring case, accents and legal-form words (SA, SAS, Oy, a.s.…). Id lookups score 1.

### 💰 How much does it cost?

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Company profile (one row found) | $0.005 |

Higher Apify plans get volume discounts. Not-found rows are not charged, so checking 1,000 names of which 800 are found costs $4.

### 🔒 Personal data

- **Sole traders are excluded** in every country: French entrepreneurs individuels, Norwegian ENK, Finnish private traders and Czech natural persons in business.
- **Names of directors and shareholders are never returned.**
- Poland's open KRS API already anonymizes personal data.

### ℹ️ Good to know

- ARES (Czechia) refuses name searches that match too many companies, so use a more specific name or the IČO.
- Poland's open API looks up KRS numbers only. Its VAT and REGON numbers are included in the result.
- ARES states that its data is informative and not proof in legal proceedings.
- If a registry is temporarily unavailable, the row says so in `registriesUnavailable`. Run that query again later.

### 📚 Sources and licences

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One company per line: a name, a registration number (SIREN/SIRET, organisasjonsnummer, Y-tunnus, IČO, KRS) or a VAT number (FR…, NO…MVA, FI…, CZ…). Prefix a country to search only there, e.g. 'FR: Airbus'. Up to 5,000 per run.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Where to search queries that have no country prefix. Poland's open KRS API only looks up KRS numbers.

## `maxMatchesPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

For name searches. Best matches first (see matchScore).

## `includeInactive` (type: `boolean`):

Keep deregistered or closed companies in the results (their status is 'inactive').
