## Pricing

from $0.60 / 1,000 station prices

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## European Fuel Prices: 6 Countries by Station + 29 Averages

**Find the cheapest diesel and petrol in Europe in seconds, straight from official government data.**

This Actor collects the pump prices that **over 45,000 stations** report to their governments in **Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia**, plus the **official national averages for 29 European countries**, and hands them to you in one clean format. Search around any point on the map, compare countries in euros, or follow every price move day by day. No scraping, no proxies, no API keys: runs finish in 2 to 15 seconds.

### ✨ Why use it

- ✅ **Official sources only:** ministries, regulators and the European Commission, with the licence on every row.
- 📍 **Search by place:** the cheapest stations near a GPS point, or in a city, province, postcode or brand.
- 🌍 **One format for six countries:** Gasóleo A, Gazole, Gasolio and Eurodizel all become `diesel`.
- 💶 **29 countries side by side:** national averages with and without taxes, all converted to euros.
- 🔔 **Only what changed:** *Changes* mode returns just the prices that went up or down since your last run.
- 💸 **Pay per result:** $0.80 per 1,000 station prices. A "10 cheapest in my city" run costs under one cent.

### 🌍 What data you get

**Station prices**

- 🇪🇸 **Spain**: about 11,500 stations, updated every 30 minutes.
- 🇫🇷 **France**: about 9,800 stations, near real time.
- 🇮🇹 **Italy**: about 24,000 stations, with the prices in force at 08:00 the previous day.
- 🇭🇷 **Croatia**: about 900 stations, as reported to the Ministry of Economy.
- 🇸🇮 **Slovenia**: about 550 stations, as reported to the Ministry of Economy.
- 🇦🇹 **Austria**: the cheapest stations in each state, as published by E-Control.

**Country averages**

- 🇪🇺 **27 EU countries**, plus the EU and euro-area averages: petrol 95, diesel and LPG, with and without taxes, weekly (European Commission).
- 🇬🇧 **United Kingdom**: petrol and diesel, with and without taxes, weekly (DESNZ).
- 🇳🇴 **Norway**: petrol 95 and diesel, monthly (Statistics Norway).
- Prices in pounds and kroner are also given in euros (`priceEur`), at the ECB reference rate.

### 💡 Use cases

- **Drivers and travel apps:** show the cheapest station around the user, even across borders: Spain near the Portuguese border, or Slovenia against Croatia around Zagreb.
- **Fuel retailers:** check every competitor within 5 km of your station each morning and react when they move.
- **Fleet managers:** decide where trucks refuel and budget fuel costs by country.
- **Analysts and journalists:** compare 29 countries, see how much of the price is tax, and follow price gaps between regions and brands.
- **Developers and AI agents:** feed an app, dashboard or spreadsheet through the Apify API, or let an AI agent call it through MCP.

### 🚀 How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** and choose the countries and fuels you want.
2. Narrow it down: a city, province, postcode or brand, or a point and a radius such as `40.4168, -3.7038` and 5 km.
3. Run it and download the results as **Excel, CSV or JSON**, or read them from the **Apify API**.
4. Want it every day? **Schedule** the run, switch to *Changes* mode, and send the results to Make, Zapier, n8n or a webhook.

{ "countries": ["ES"], "fuelTypes": ["diesel", "gasoline_95"], "region": "Barcelona", "mode": "changes", "monitorId": "barcelona-province" }
```
### ⛽ Fuel types
Every country names its fuels differently. This Actor maps them to one set of types and keeps the original local name in `fuelName`.
| fuelType | What it is | Examples of local names |
|---|---|---|
| `diesel` | Standard diesel (B7) | Gasoleo A, Gazole, Gasolio, Eurodizel, Dizel, Diesel |
| `diesel_premium` | Premium diesel | Gasoleo Premium, Blue Diesel, Eurodizel Class Plus Premium, Dizel Premium |
| `hvo` | Renewable diesel | Diésel Renovable, HVO |
| `gasoline_95` | Petrol 95 (E5) | Gasolina 95 E5, SP95, Benzina, Eurosuper 95, NMB-95, Super 95 |
| `gasoline_95_e10` | Petrol 95 E10 | Gasolina 95 E10, E10 |
| `gasoline_95_premium` | Premium petrol 95 | Gasolina 95 E5 Premium, Blue Super, Eurosuper 95 Premium |
| `gasoline_98` | Petrol 98 or 100 | Gasolina 98, SP98, Benzina 100, Eurosuper 100, NMB-98, NMB-100 |
| `lpg` | LPG (Autogas) | GLP, GPLc, GPL, Autoplin, Avtoplin |
| `cng` / `lng` | Natural gas (per kg) | GNC / GNL, Metano, Erdgas, CNG / LNG |
| `e85` | E85 / bioethanol | Bioetanol, E85 |
| `adblue` | AdBlue | AdBlue |
Country averages cover `gasoline_95` and `diesel` everywhere, and `lpg` for most EU countries.
### 📦 Output
Station prices: one row per station, fuel and (in Italy) service mode, with `recordType` set to `station`:
```json
{
  "recordType": "station",
  "country": "ES",
  "stationId": "ES-14402",
  "stationName": "SIMON GRUP",
  "brand": "SIMON GRUP",

  "fetchedAt": "2026-10-13T11:25:24+00:00"
}
```
Country averages: one row per country and fuel, with `recordType` set to `country-average`:
```json
{
  "recordType": "country-average",
  "country": "GB",
  "countryName": "United Kingdom",
  "fuelType": "gasoline_95",

  "fetchedAt": "2026-10-13T14:45:00+00:00"
}
```
In *Changes* mode each row also has `changeType` (`new`, `up` or `down`), `previousPrice` and `priceChange`. The dataset has two views: *Prices* for stations and *Country averages*.
### 💰 How much does it cost?
You pay only for the results you get:
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Station price (one row in Snapshot mode) | $0.0008, i.e. **$0.80 per 1,000 prices** |
| Price change (one row in Changes mode) | $0.0015 |
| Country average (one country and fuel) | $0.002 |
Higher Apify plans get volume discounts. A "10 cheapest in my city" run costs under one cent, and diesel and petrol averages for all 29 countries cost about $0.12. Use filters: a full national snapshot of Spain (about 11,000 diesel prices) costs about $9.
You can set a maximum cost per run in the run options. The Actor stops pushing results when that limit is reached.
### 🔍 Data quality
- Prices are **reported by stations** to each government. Some stations update late, so use *Ignore prices older than* (default 30 days). Croatia, Slovenia and Austria publish no timestamp per price.
- Some stations report obvious errors, such as 1.000 or 14.35 €/l, and some stop reporting and keep an old price. By default the Actor removes prices below 75% or above 150% of the national median for the same fuel. In Croatia and Slovenia, where petrol 95 and diesel prices sit within a few percent of each other, the lower limit is 90%. Turn this off with *Exclude implausible prices*.
- **Austria:** E-Control's price calculator publishes only the cheapest stations in each state, by design. You get the cheapest part of the market, not every station.
- **Croatia and Slovenia:** `brand` is the operating company, e.g. "INA – Industrija nafte d.d.". In Croatia, the county and municipality are worked out from the nearest settlement, and a few stations without usable coordinates have none. Slovenia's data has no region field, so filter by postal code or distance.
- **France's** open data has **no brand or station name**. The address is the identifier.
- **Italy** publishes prices once a day, as in force at 08:00 the previous day, with self-service and served prices separately (`serviceMode`).
- **Country averages** are official statistics, not the price at any one station. `priceDate` is the period they refer to: a day for weekly sources, a month (YYYY-MM) for Norway. `priceExclTaxes` is empty when the source does not publish it.
- If one source is temporarily down, the run still returns the others, and the status message says which one is missing.
### 📚 Sources and licences
| Data | Publisher | Licence / terms |
|---|---|---|
| Spain | Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico | Spanish public-sector information reuse (Ley 37/2007) |
| France | Ministère de l'Économie / DGCCRF, *Prix des carburants en France* | Licence Ouverte v2.0 (Etalab) |
| Italy | Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy (MIMIT) | Italian Open Data License v2.0 |
| Austria | E-Control, *Spritpreisrechner* | Public-sector information, re-usable under Directive (EU) 2019/1024. Datenquelle: E-Control |
| Croatia | Ministarstvo gospodarstva, *mzoe-gor.hr* | Public-sector information, re-usable under Directive (EU) 2019/1024 |
| Slovenia | Ministrstvo za gospodarstvo, *goriva.si* | Public-sector information, re-usable under Directive (EU) 2019/1024 |
| EU-27 averages | European Commission, *Weekly Oil Bulletin* | CC BY 4.0 (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU) |
| United Kingdom averages | Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, *Weekly road fuel prices* | Open Government Licence v3.0 |
| Norway averages | Statistics Norway, table 09654 | CC BY 4.0 |
| Exchange rates | European Central Bank reference rates | Free reuse with source |
Every row carries `source` and `license`, so you can attribute correctly. This Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these publishers. No personal data is collected: the records describe business premises only. In Italy, the operator name is deliberately left out.
### ❓ FAQ
**How fresh is the data?** Each run downloads the current official data. Spain refreshes every 30 minutes, France in near real time, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria whenever stations report, Italy daily, the EU and UK averages weekly, and Norway monthly.
**Can I schedule it?** Yes. Create a task with your filters and add a schedule. *Changes* mode remembers the last prices for each `monitorId`.
**Why are there no station prices for Portugal, Germany or the UK?** Only sources whose terms allow this kind of reuse are included. For those countries, use the country averages.
**Why does a station appear twice?** One row is one fuel at one station. In Italy, self-service and served prices are also separate rows.
**Something looks wrong?** Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab with the input you used. Issues are answered within a few days.
# Actor input Schema
## `countries` (type: `array`):
Station-level prices from official sources. Austria: E-Control (only the cheapest stations in each state, by design). Croatia and Slovenia: the ministries of economy. Spain: Ministry for the Ecological Transition. France: DGCCRF. Italy: MIMIT (prices in force at 08:00 the previous day). For national averages in any EU country, the UK or Norway, use Country averages below. Leave empty to get only averages.
## `fuelTypes` (type: `array`):
Harmonized fuel types across countries. The original local fuel name is kept in the output (fuelName).
## `region` (type: `string`):
Optional. Province (ES, e.g. Madrid), département (FR, e.g. Gironde), province code (IT, e.g. RM), state (AT, e.g. Wien) or county (HR, e.g. Splitsko-dalmatinska). Slovenia has no region field: use Postal code prefix. Case and accents are ignored.
## `municipality` (type: `string`):
Optional. Municipality / municipio / commune / comune / Gemeinde / grad or općina. Case and accents are ignored.
## `postalCodePrefix` (type: `string`):
Optional. Keep only stations whose postal code starts with this text, e.g. 28 (ES), 75 (FR), 1010 (AT), 1000 (SI). Croatia's data has no postal codes.
## `brands` (type: `array`):
Optional. Keep only these brands (partial match, case-insensitive), e.g. Repsol, BP, Eni, INA, Petrol, OMV. France's open data has no brand field, so this filter removes all French stations. In Croatia and Slovenia the brand is the operating company.
## `nearLocation` (type: `string`):
Optional. Decimal coordinates, e.g. 40.4168, -3.7038. Adds distanceKm to each result and keeps stations within the radius below.
## `radiusKm` (type: `integer`):
Used with Near location.
## `sortBy` (type: `string`):
Price sorts cheapest first. Distance requires Near location.
## `maxResultsPerFuel` (type: `integer`):
Cap per fuel type after sorting, so 'price' + 10 gives the 10 cheapest stations for each fuel. 0 means no cap. Country averages are never capped.
## `maxPriceAgeDays` (type: `integer`):
Drops prices that stations have not updated for this many days. 0 keeps everything.
## `excludeOutliers` (type: `boolean`):
Drops obvious data-entry errors reported by stations (for example 1.000 or 8.888 EUR/l): prices below 75% (90% for petrol 95 and diesel in Croatia and Slovenia) or above 150% of the national median for the same fuel. AdBlue and 'other' are not checked.
## `averageCountries` (type: `array`):
Optional. National average pump prices: the 27 EU countries plus the EU and euro-area averages (European Commission Weekly Oil Bulletin, weekly), the United Kingdom (DESNZ, weekly) and Norway (Statistics Norway, monthly). Petrol 95 and diesel everywhere, LPG for most EU countries. price is in the local currency, priceEur converts it with the ECB reference rate. Station filters do not apply.
## `mode` (type: `string`):
Snapshot returns current prices. Changes returns only prices that are new or changed since the previous run with the same Monitor ID, with the previous price, which suits scheduled runs. Country averages are included in the changes.
## `monitorId` (type: `string`):
Name for the saved state in Changes mode. Use a different ID for each monitored area or filter set.
