## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Taiwan Monthly Revenue — TSMC, Foxconn & AI Supply Chain

Taiwan-listed companies report **revenue every month** — not just every quarter. Analysts use these numbers as an early read on AI-server demand weeks before US earnings (TSMC, Foxconn, Quanta, Wiwynn, Wistron…). This Actor pulls the latest month for **every company on TWSE, TPEx and the Emerging board** from the official open-data APIs and returns clean English JSON.

### What you get

- **2,300+ companies** across three boards (TWSE listed, TPEx OTC, TPEx Emerging)
- **English short names** (TSMC, HON HAI, QCI, Wiwynn…) next to the Chinese name
- Monthly revenue in **TWD** (converted from the NT$ thousand source unit), **MoM %, YoY %, year-to-date and YTD YoY %**
- **AI supply-chain preset**: ~30 companies tagged by role (foundry, server ODM, ABF substrates, thermal, power, networking, test…)
- Filters: minimum YoY growth, sort by revenue / YoY / MoM, custom stock-code lists

### Quick examples

| Goal | Input |
|---|---|
| AI supply chain, fastest growers first | `{"preset": "ai-supply-chain", "sortBy": "yoy"}` |
| Every company that grew ≥100% YoY | `{"preset": "all", "markets": ["listed","otc","emerging"], "minYoYPct": 100, "sortBy": "yoy", "maxItems": 5000}` |
| Just TSMC and Foxconn | `{"preset": "custom", "stockCodes": ["2330","2317"]}` |

### Sample output

```json
{
  "period": "2026-09",
  "code": "2330",
  "nameEn": "TSMC",
  "nameZh": "台積電",
  "industryEn": "Semiconductors",
  "ytdYoYPct": 41.11,
  "publishedDate": "2026-10-17"
}
```

### Timing

Companies must file by the **10th of the following month**; the official consolidated open-data table is usually refreshed a few days later. Each run returns the **latest month available** in that table. Schedule the Actor monthly (e.g. on the 18th) to build your own history.

# Actor input Schema

## `preset` (type: `string`):

<b>AI supply chain</b> = ~30 Taiwan companies in the AI server / chip supply chain (TSMC, Foxconn, Quanta, Wiwynn, Wistron, MediaTek, ASE…). <b>All companies</b> = every company in the selected markets. <b>Custom</b> = only the codes you list below.

## `stockCodes` (type: `array`):

Which boards to include: <code>listed</code> (TWSE), <code>otc</code> (TPEx), <code>emerging</code> (TPEx Emerging Stock Board).

## `minYoYPct` (type: `integer`):

Only return companies whose revenue grew at least this much versus the same month last year. Leave empty for no filter.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

How to order the results.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum rows to return.
