## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## XING Jobs Scraper — Germany, Austria & Switzerland jobs with salaries

Scrape job listings from **[XING](https://www.xing.com/jobs)**, the leading professional network and job board in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Search by keyword and location and get every job with **a salary range as numbers** — either the salary the employer published, or XING's own salary estimate for the role (clearly flagged) — plus the company, city, employment type, the employer's own apply link, industry and the full description.

No login, no browser.

### What you get

```json
{
  "jobId": "156675213",
  "title": "Python Developer Financial Services (all genders)",
  "url": "https://www.xing.com/jobs/berlin-python-developer-financial-services-all-genders-156675213",
  "companyName": "Exxeta",
  "companyUrl": "https://www.xing.com/pages/exxetaag",
  "city": "Berlin",
  "region": "Land Berlin",
  "country": "DE",
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "salaryMin": 59000,
  "salaryMax": 86000,
  "salaryMedian": 76000,
  "salaryCurrency": "EUR",
  "salaryIsEstimate": true,
  "applyUrl": "https://career.exxeta.com/Python-Developer-Financial-Services-all-genders-de-j1018.html",
  "industry": "Consulting",
  "postedAt": "2026-09-17T05:36:36Z",
  "activeUntil": "2027-01-22T21:35:50Z",
  "description": "Dein Herz schlägt für die Softwareentwicklung …"
}
```

- **`salaryIsEstimate: false`** — the employer published this range in the ad
- **`salaryIsEstimate: true`** — XING's salary forecast for this position (min, max and median)

In test runs, roughly **3 out of 4 jobs carried a salary range**, which makes XING one of the richest public sources for German-speaking salary data.

### Who uses this

- **Recruiters & staffing agencies** — who is hiring which roles in which German, Austrian or Swiss city, with the employer's direct apply link
- **Salary benchmarking & HR analytics** — numeric salary ranges per title, city and industry
- **Sales & lead generation** — companies hiring for a function are buying tools for it
- **Job boards & aggregators** — fresh DACH listings on a schedule
- **Market research** — demand for skills across the DACH labour market

### How to use

1. Enter **keywords** (English or German: `python`, `data analyst`, `Vertrieb`, `Buchhaltung`) and optionally a **location** (`Berlin`, `München`, `Hamburg`, `Wien`, `Zürich`)
2. Or paste XING job search URLs such as `https://www.xing.com/jobs/search?keywords=python&location=Berlin`
3. Choose **Include job details**:
   - **On (default)** — opens every job page to add the full description, industry, region, country and postal code
   - **Off** — a fast list (title, company, city, salary, apply link, dates) (about 100 jobs in 12 seconds in our tests)
4. Run and export as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API, schedules, Make, Zapier or n8n

### Tips

- For a few German keyword-only searches (for example `Pflege` alone) XING shows nothing to logged-out visitors. Adding a location (`Pflege` + `Hamburg`) fixes it; the run log tells you when this happens.
- Use several start URLs to cover multiple cities in one run — duplicates are removed.

### Pricing

Pay per result: a small fee per job saved, plus a tiny start fee per run. Job details and salaries are included in the per-job price.
